Why HMO’S First of all what is a hmo? A hmo stands for a house of multiple occupancy. Our property strategy is Student HMO’S for the following reasons - 5 lots of rent instead of 1 - Guarantor backed rent - 50 weeks of the year no void periods - Holidays - Summer, Easter and Christmas most of the tenants go home so management is less. - New group each year We have found this to be a model that just works - why do you need to re create the wheel? That’s why we always stick with what we know and improve with each property we do.

I said to my daughter the other day while looking at the cost of student accommodation that I'd rather be a landlord than a student. Not just private rented either. The university provided rooms are not exactly cheap.
