To all heavy duty operators out there, Here is the reason why employers do state it out on their job adverts over your knowledge on the job you're seeking for. They will be like, do you have a mining pit experience on excavator.....? Applicant due to been anxious to get a job, he will say yes. I do tell my trainees, that, in the field of heavy equipment, there's difference between a mechanic testing a particular and that of heavy equipment operator testing a particular machine. The reason/ difference between the two, is that mechanic can only move the equipment, but operator moves the machine and engage it on a job. From the above video, the personnel in that Excavator is and excavator operator, but definitely not an open pit mining excavator operator, therefore lacks the experience required for the task ahead of him😏 Mining experience is quite different from road job, likewise, down to dredging. they're different knowledge required to execute each task in this few mentioned designations. #Heavyequipmentooerators #excavatoradrivers #Miningoperators #Hyundai #Hyundaimanufacturers #civil #Quarry #safety #Healthandsafety We learn everyday🤝

Let’s it ride… and rip the whole road to recovery ❤️🩹 When we face the actual issue of gender… ENDERS G:AME This is the G DRIVE … ENDinG THE NOISE AND NONSENSE G:one ☝🏿 G: IRL ( in real life) Faking it won’t make it work or worthwhile. Keep it REAL AND KEEP IT MOVIN-G Here are ten labor-intensive engineering jobs that often involve strenuous physical activities, and traditionally have been predominantly held by men due to the physical demands: 1. Underwater Welder - This job involves welding in underwater environments, often for repairing ships or offshore platforms. It requires diving skills along with welding expertise. 2. Offshore Oil Rig Technician - Working on oil rigs involves harsh conditions, heavy machinery operation, and often requires dealing with extreme weather, which can be physically taxing. 3. Submarine Engineer - Engineers who work on submarines face confined spaces, high pressure, and need to handle complex machinery in a challenging environment. 4. Commercial Diver - Beyond welding, commercial divers might be involved in salvage operations, underwater construction, or inspection of underwater structures like dams or pipelines. 5. Pipeline Engineer - Particularly those involved in laying or repairing pipelines under the sea or in remote locations, which involves heavy physical labor. 6. Shipfitter - These professionals work with metal in shipyards to construct or repair ships, often in cramped conditions and involving heavy lifting. 7. Marine Salvage Operator - This involves recovering ships or cargo from underwater, requiring diving and dealing with heavy, large objects underwater. 8. Tunneling Engineer - While not exclusively underwater, tunneling can involve similar strenuous conditions, especially in underwater tunnel projects, involving heavy machinery and confined spaces. 9. Hydraulic Engineer (Dam Construction/Repair) - Working on dams, especially in construction or maintenance, involves handling heavy materials and working in potentially hazardous environments. 10. Marine Construction Worker - This includes building structures like piers, docks, or sea walls, often requiring diving and handling of heavy construction materials underwater or in water. These roles not only require physical strength and endurance but also specific technical skills. However, it's worth noting that with advancements in technology and a push for diversity, more women are entering these fields. Organizations are also adapting equipment and training to make these high-risk, high-strain jobs more accessible to all genders. If you are interested in recent developments or changes in these job demographics, I can look into that for you!

DRILL RECOVERY The D25Ks Drilltech, in action, drilling and suddenly the engine seized up. It is in the drill pattern and no access for the crane and lowbed to lift and carry it back to the workshop. we had to come up with a plan of towing the drill out of the drilling pattern to a safe area where the crane and lowbed truck could work and do their thing. The team comprised of two mechanics and their supervisor, two safety offers, one drills mechanical coordinator, a mine captain, a production supervisor on shift, three riggers, one Liebherr dozer 764 operator and one IT Komatsu operator. The dozer made a new lamp to use for towing down the drill. So the arrangement was the IT is pulling the drill and the dozer pulling it back to prevent "run away" of the drill keep in mind the drill is not operational and the brakes released manually. It took us about 3hrs to recover the drill to a safe area. #Safety_first #Team_work

𝐑𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐎𝐢𝐥 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 : Pre-job planning should be done to determine the safest and most efficient means to do the job. Once the rig move planning has been carried out, a pre-job meeting with all involved should be held. The following safety tips should be observed when rigging up/down a drilling rig. 🔹When determining the direction of setting up the rig, the prevailing wind direction should be considered so that substructure and engines can be set such that engine exhaust is carried away from the rig floor. 🔹Inspect all equipment that is to be used in the rig up operation. Especially inspect all rigging equipment (hoisting line, slings, chains, hooks and cables) before using. If the equipment appears worn or frayed, inform the driller/toolpusher (or truck pusher). 🔹While complete guarding is not possible at all times during rigging up/down, keep floor openings covered when not in use. 🔹Handrails around the rig floor should be put up first and taken down last when rigging up/down the rig floor. 🔹Stairs should be placed as soon as possible and taken down as late as possible. Once placed the stairs should be secured against movement. 🔹Be aware of the movement of trucks and other equipment around the rig location. All personnel should be instructed to be aware of the driver’s visual area so that they do not walk into a blind spot when the truck is moving. 🔹When placing a load that is close to another structure, do not get between the load being placed and the set in structure. 🔹Be sure walkways are free of skids and other items that may cause a slip/fall exposure. 🔹Fall protection should be used when workers are over 6 feet from the ground/deck such as while rigging up the derrick or substructure. 🔹Make sure that the lighting is adequate around the rig floor, derrick and work areas around the location (catwalk area, pipe racks, etc.) 🔹When rigging up the derrick, personnel should utilize fall protection and practice 100% tie off. 🔹Tong hanger line sheaves and other sheaves that are in the derrick should be inspected and replaced if necessary while the derrick sections are on the ground. 🔹Inspect the tong hanger cables, mud box and other cables that are located in the derrick before raising the derrick. 🔹Take care when rigging up tongs, etc., on the rig floor. 🔹Once the derrick is raised and pinned, the drawworks cover should be installed on the front of the drawworks. 🔹Organize and clean up the rig floor as soon as possible once it is rigged up. #drilling #drillingrig #oilandgas #oilfield #construction #drill #petroleum #mining #engineering #oil #oilandgasindustry
