Using CFD at an early stage of the design of a pharmaceutical classified area means not to lose a valuable opportunity for detecting on time possible errors and weak points like first air contamination, low ventilation effectiveness, backflow from dirty to clean areas, unidirectional air flow disruption, grade A compromission, etc.
A late discovery of the aforementioned problems can seriously compromise the project and the needed remediation actions will result in delay in schedule and high additional costs.
Nowadays, there are no excuses for not using a powerful, mature, and sustainable technology like CFD, an essential tool of 'Quality by Design' for critical systems.
Alongside the undeniable advantages in terms of quality, the use of CFD in designing controlled contamination areas, which are notoriously energy-intensive, also provides benefits in terms of sustainability. It optimizes the design of HVAC systems, reduces the flow rates of recirculation air, and allows for air flow reduction programs under conditions of reduced contaminant load.
Recentemente abbiamo condiviso due case study che mostrano i vantaggi della CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) applicata all'ottimizzazione dei reparti farmaceutici. Da oltre 10 anni sviluppiamo internamente questa tecnologia, che consente di simulare il flusso dell’aria all’interno di ambienti a contaminazione controllata e di ottenere benefici concreti, come:
