Five distilleries. Three motorcycles. One whisky. : Edrington - Journey's Blend There are partnerships and then there are partnerhsips with a quest to write history. This is the most fascinating story of friendships, journeys, scotland, whisky and writing something for the history books by visting the far corners of scotland and creating an unforgettable experience for the world and for a handful of whisky aficinados out there; 50 to be precise. Edrington, the ówners of the Macallan brand don't have a whisky brand called Edrington. This however is referred to as "Edrington-journeys blend", thereby adding another unique dimension to the historic significance of these bottles. So read on, enjoy and do keep a look out for one of the 50 bottles, if they ever surface. Even an empty one would be worth keeping. #edrington #kilchoman #glenturret #highlandpark #Glengarioch #Bladnoch #scotch #whisky #scotland #BBC #whiskymagazine #triumphmotorcycle #royalenfieldmotorcycle

New product: Castello Collection KKK Smooth Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates - Available at MBSDpipes.com Founded in 1947 by Carlo Scotti, Castello quickly became known for producing some of the finest smoking pipes in the world. Over the years, the people involved in making Castello pipes has changed – such as Luigi Radice and Sergio Ascorti, who developed their skills in the Cantu workshop before leaving to start Caminetto, or the handing of the reigns of the company to Francisco ‘Kino’ Coppo after Scotti’s passing – but the superlative quality of Castello pipes has not. It is not without reason that Castello is known as ‘the Italian Dunhill.’ This might just be the nicest smooth finish Castello I’ve ever held. It’s a Collection, so it’s one of Castello’s highest standard grades, but the straight grain patterns are so tight and evenly distributed around its bowl that I’m surprised the stummel didn’t end up as an Aristocratica. As an extra distinction, this Castello includes a bare plateau rim, which I’m normally only used to seeing on Great Line freehands, if on Castello pipes at all. Judging by the shape code in the “castle” stamp, this pipe was made in 1991, while Carlo Scotti was still head of the Castello workshop. It’s a 3 (out of a possible 4) “K” grade Collection, and the “N” stamp indicates that the pipe was originally sold at Milan’s Noli Pipe tobacconist. The condition is great. There’s some inner rim darkening, but nothing major. Details: Length: 5.5″ / 139.7mm Bowl Width: 0.85 / 21.59mm Bowl Depth: 1.46″ / 37.08mm Weight: 1.2oz / 36g 👉🏽👉🏽Pipe Link: https://nuel.ink/rVKLds #pipesmoking #pipes #tobaccopipe #pipesmoker #pipetobacco #tobacco #smokingpipe #briarpipe #briar #smoking #pipemaker #pipecollector #artisanpipes #mbsd

The R1.95M Bottle: When Wine Beats Property 🍷 Just when you thought Cape Town property prices were wild... A single bottle of 1865 Château Latour fetched R1.95 million (HK$812,500) at Christie's Hong Kong auction - smashing its pre-sale estimate of HK$220,000. Not your average bottle in the cellar, this is one of only three known to exist, coming straight from the Château's private vault. Think about it - while most Victorian-era investments have turned to dust, this liquid investment has been silently appreciating for over 150 years. Talk about patient capital! This bottle reminds us that legacy can come in unexpected forms - some with significantly better dinner table stories! Pre-phylloxera, perfect provenance, pristine label. Each element tells a story of patience, preservation, and foresight. Source: Decanter
