San Lorenzo Valley Water District’s Post

Our Kirby Water Treatment Plant played host to high school students in the Earth Stewards Project last month! The project allows students to practice environmental stewardship while exploring careers in the environmental and natural resources field.   In addition to a tour, the students removed roughly 175 pounds of invasive plant species and seeded an area with native California poppies.   The San Lorenzo Valley Water District was proud to partner with the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History for the trip.
