Lessons from a snowman: 1) There will always be pressure; do your best to to stand strong and not melt. 2) Enjoy and be grateful for this moment; we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. 3) If you have the chance, bring a child joy; even if it is only for a brief time.

The analogy of lessons learnt from pilgrims to corporate work culture is phenomenal. Painting the vision of growth is not enough for a CEO. Seeing it through as a ritual and bringing people along from all walks of life could be the key to ultimate enlightenment Good #ThoughtLeadership from Manesh Karlekar . Today met one person who just came back from Shirdi Pilgrim. One week of walking, 6 hrs per day walk covering 200 plus km. He has been doing it for the last 18 years. I asked him what are the key takeaways from this walk. 1) Never give up whatever the physical condition. 2) With a group of people with you on the journey with hardly anyone knowing each other, anyone who is behind is not left off, he is carried throughout to the next destination. 3) Break away from yourself; created by self and other's perception, just remaining as one of the travelers, a sole identity. Understanding what he said, could we derive similar parallels in the organization - As a team, we should take on all the physical and mental constraints and overcome them, not leave our team members, carry them, and lastly, create our identity as a team and get the things done together till the journey lasts......

🍀 This past St. Patrick’s Day weekend, a family camping trip with the Cub Scouts revealed a timely lesson on crafting our own luck. 🍀 Imagine the scene: a buzz of excitement as the young Cub Scouts tried their hand at archery for the first time, including my eager six-year-old twins. My son, quickly dove in after receiving some basic instructions. Arrow after arrow, his attempts were solid first efforts, but they lacked the precision that comes with practice. Next up was his sister, who opted for a different tactic. She keenly observed, absorbed, and learned by watching those around her before even picking up the bow. And when her time came, believe it or not, her second arrow hit a bullseye! It struck with such force that parents, camp instructors, and even the older Cub Scouts gasped in surprise. Needless to say, she looked at me and beamed with pride, and I have no doubt we'll be hearing this story from her for a long time. And I won’t blame her—it was impressive! Was it a lucky shot? Far from it. This moment took me back to a conversation with an old manager who once told me, "Stop saying you are just lucky. We create our luck through hard work and by positioning ourselves where opportunities can find us." My daughter, without even realizing it, had embodied this principle, demonstrating that success is not just about seizing opportunities but about creating them. And she had done just that. Creating luck is about merging preparation with opportunity. You can't simply wait for luck to strike; you must actively pursue it through your actions and mindset. As a proud mom, I'm inspired by my daughter's approach to archery. By preparing diligently, observing carefully, and focusing on our goals, we're not just passively hoping for luck; we're actively crafting it. So, let this story be a reminder to us all: true luck isn't found at the end of a rainbow, but in the moments we spend sharpening our aim and drawing our bow with intention. Here's to creating our own luck, one focused effort at a time. 🏹 #ExecutiveSearch #SuccessMindset #LifeLessons
