In my last post, I shared this video of 'me' speaking Spanish, sparking some curiosity – and a bit of confusion! Many reached out, wondering if it was really me speaking Spanish 🤔 Time for the big reveal: it is all #GenerativeAI magic! The video was created using a tool called HeyGen. It works by taking an original video, extracting the audio, and then converting it into another language – Spanish, in this case. And no, I haven't secretly learned Spanish; it's all thanks to AI! 😀 Seamless audio translation is now becoming real and have plenty of applications in the real world, few of them being: 👉 Advertising - It becomes super-easy to translate ads into multiple languages for regional targeting 👉 Dubbing - Gone are the days of awkwardly dubbed movies. Now, actors can 'speak' in multiple languages, maintaining their authentic voice and expressions. No need for translating the entire script and re-recording the dialogues again, matching lip sync, timing etc. 👉 Wider reach for all types of content - Podcasts, webinars, education videos can effortlessly go global without language barriers and subtitles, companies can create product videos, customer support in multiple languages. The possibilities are endless, opening doors to wider audiences and previously untapped markets. Though there are inherent risks (deepfakes/ voice cloning), my aim here was to highlight the transformative and positive potential this technology holds. It’s about looking at the brighter side of innovation!
Great insight!👏🏻
