Well as you know, every story has a beginning.
Here is how mine started.
Between January - May 2021 l was desperately looking for a job. I had been working in a warehouse, the job was hard, painful and my body could not take it.
I kept telling myself that you are smart, qualified and capable. Surely you can find a job, despite applying to many companies every single week, only regrets but many ghosted me.
I finally got an interview with UN IDPAD Ireland, which went well and they offered me the job. I was meant to start right away but a month later l was still waiting. Due to internal issues l did not start as agreed and l only had money for one month of rent. When l realised that l might not start the job in time to pay the following months rent, l went back on the job market started applying again.
And if l tell you that in my life, God is truly God of the eleventh hour, when l am running out of time that is when God shows up. I saw a job post the day it was going to close, l was depressed, worried about the following months rent but decided to apply for it anywhere, l sat on my desk for 4 hours straight and did the following:
1. Edited my Cv
2. Drafted my Cover Letter
3. Answered 8 Questions as part of the application
And with just five minutes to go l submitted the application. I got an interview, interview went well and after two days l got the job offer and l accepted it.
Now with the benefit of hindsight ohhhhh my ……

❗️Lesson❗️
1. A job offer does not mean anything until you actaully start the job.
2. Always have a backup plan
3. Always have a rainfund even if its a small amount. (And l know that not everyone is in a position to save money especially when you are underpaid)
