My business partner, Evans Kerrigan and his wife are part of this fantastic volunteer-run organization that’s all about making a difference—both locally and globally. The local Rotary Club might not be the biggest, but let me tell you, it’s jam-packed with incredibly talented individuals. They’ve got folks who've led their own businesses or organizations, bringing diverse expertise to the table. But here’s the thing they faced—navigating roles and responsibilities, especially when you've got a room full of talent, can be quite the puzzle. At the Rotary Club, clarity around roles was a bit like finding a needle in a haystack. Ever been in a project where it felt like everyone was in charge, or worse, no one was? Talk about frustrating! He admitted to contributing to the chaos more than once. In our consulting gigs, We’ve helped folks tackle similar challenges using some pretty straightforward project management tools. One gem I want to share today is the RACI model. It breaks down roles into Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, and Informed—simple yet super effective. The definitions were tweaked a bit to suit the club’s needs because, truth be told, it needed a boost in efficiency. They wanted clear leaders for each initiative, protecting budgets where it mattered most to make a real impact. “A” was used for those projects that had a financial impact on the club, ensuring there was accountability where it counted. And for those who signed up and those keen to help but couldn’t fully commit yet? They landed in the “C” and “I” categories, respectively. This tool’s been a game-changer for the club—clarifying roles, coordinating efforts, and improving communication. It’s not just about our local community or businesses; it’s about making waves worldwide. Cheers to clarity, coordination, and making a real difference! 🌟

📌STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT📌 Stakeholder management involves the following processes: ♦️Know your stakeholders- Identify who your stakeholders are. •What are their names❓ •Which department do you belong to❓ •What are the technical and soft skills of the team members❓ ♦️Know their needs through conversations- Identify their roles and needs and how they impact the project. Are they the sponsors, customers, team members, and so on. ♦️Engage stakeholders- Invite them to come for meetings so they can partake in decision-making processes. Set realistic expectations. Make sure their needs align with the scope. They need to know what to expect and what not to. ♦️Build a healthy relationship with the stakeholders.
