Masterclass - 3rd August 2024 Based on the discussion, some practical ways to help students overcome stage fright and feel more confident speaking in front of others include: Provide opportunities for students to practice public speaking in a supportive environment, such as through class presentations or debates. Encourage students to focus on the content and message they want to convey rather than worrying about how they will perform. Share personal stories and experiences of overcoming stage fright, like Roma did, to help students realise that even teachers struggle with this challenge. Emphasise that public speaking is about connecting with the audience, not just reciting a speech, and helping students develop those interpersonal skills. Gradually build students' confidence, starting with smaller speaking opportunities before moving to larger audiences. Create a positive and encouraging classroom culture where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, not failures. We are reading 📖 Wanted back-bencher last-ranker teacher by Kavita Ghosh. Today was part 1 of Chapter 8. #HappyTeachers Why not join us next week? Head to www.SchoolEducation.com and convince yourself! Brinda Ghosh and Jugjiv Singh, thank you for being my co-hosts.
