A flag serves as a symbol of identity, unity, and representation. It often embodies the values, history, and aspirations of a group or nation. Flags are used to express national pride, foster a sense of belonging, and communicate important messages. In various contexts, flags are powerful symbols that can evoke emotions, rally people together, and represent a collective identity. They are significant in ceremonies, celebrations, and events, providing a visual representation of the ideals and shared history of the community or country they represent. What is your flag? September 11, 2001 was a day that changed the course of history and shaped the world as we know it today. As we remember the victims, honor the heroes and reflect on the impact of the events of that day, three fundamental truths stood out for me: 1. Acts of sacrifice and kindness – from the firefighters and first responders, to the strangers helping one another escape and recover, to the many towns opening doors to welcome stranded travelers. No gesture of kindness too small. 2. A spirit of unity prevailed – the whole country and the world came together in solidarity and spirit. We supported one another – without judgement, bias and despite cultural differences – in our collective pain and shock. 3. The power of resilience – in the face of immense tragedy, New York City persevered. In the years since 9/11, the memory of that fateful day will forever remain etched in our minds and hearts. It can sometimes be the worst circumstances that draw out the very best in the character of the human race. #neverforget

Memorable Quotes by President Jimmy Carter The 39th president of the United States has dedicated himself to community service and championed human rights throughout much of his life. Our American values are not luxuries, but necessities -- not the salt in our bread, but the bread itself. ~ Jimmy Carter War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other's children. ~ Jimmy Carter To be true to ourselves, we must be true to others. ~ Jimmy Carter We should live our lives as though Christ were coming this afternoon. ~ Jimmy Carter We cannot resort to simplistic or extreme solutions which substitute myths for common sense. ~ Jimmy Carter America did not invent human rights. In a very real sense, it is the other way round. Human rights invented America. ~ Jimmy Carter In a nuclear age, each of us is threatened when peace is not secured everywhere. - ~ Jimmy Carter The awareness that health is dependent upon habits that we control makes us the first generation in history that to a large extent determines its own destiny.
Jimmy Carter is a national treasure.

Child First is an amazing tool to support organisations to embedd a culture that understands, recognises and responds to trauma. We have to deliver this through the principles of being trauma informed and put on our rauma informed glasses.... #wytraumainformed2030
