SandyPines Adolescent Residential Treatment Center’s Post

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder affecting children, adolescents, and adults who have survived a traumatic experience or series of traumatic events. PTSD symptoms often co-exist with other conditions such as substance use disorders, depression, and anxiety. Upon admission, our Clinical team complete a comprehensive medical evaluation, resulting in an individualized treatment plan. Our Clinicians use evidence-based approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EDMR) to address trauma.
