This Seal, for example, has fine helical cuts that guide the flow of lubrication—something you might miss at first glance, but without them, performance would suffer. The same goes for people. changing number of #ACS800 parallel connected inverter module for drilling equipments like MUD pumps, Top Drives, Drawworks, etc., specifically for #NOV #Amphion system. In the NOV #ADS10 each of the two main motors is controlled by three ABB ACS800 Modules. In case of a module fault during drilling operations and may need to complete the operation with only two modules. To achieve this, you need to adjust a specific parameter. For the #Varco NOV #Amphion system, the parameter 95.3 INT CONFIG USER defines the number of parallel inverter modules. In the case of ADS10, it's set to 3, and for NOV #12P160, it's also 3, for #TDS11SA, it's set to 2. In any fault case, you simply need to remove the faulted module and reduce the value of this parameter accordingly. Now, you might be wondering how to detect the faulted module. It's easily monitored using parameter 4.01, which provides information in the FAULTED INT INFO word. For example, Bit0 indicates INT 1 board fault and Bit2 indicates INT 3 board fault. With over 10 years of experience in rig automation applications, I'm excited to share my knowledge.
