It was surprising to note that none of the participants of this webinar were aware about the existence of the Protection of Policy Holder's Interests Guidelines of IRDAI.. It's a sad reality and this reflects the awareness of a vast majority of insurance consumers and intermediaries. Who is to be blamed for this? Every stakeholder of this insurance ecosystem has a role behind this lack of awareness among the public. We just focus on sales - numbers, figures and commissions. And after sales is always a fire fighting.. If we educate ourselves and our customers about customers rights, will it not make the after sales services like claims more smoother and merrier experience for the customer and reinforce his/her trust in the insurance industry?
