How do you show proof of being in business for donkey years when you have no CAC documents to that effect? Often times, some people slide to our DM and request we back date their business registration date that they want us to carry out at that given time. Our response has always been the same, YOU CAN NOT DO MAGO MAGO in CAC registration, so long as you are hiring us for the job. Yes, your document will read the date CAC approved it, period. Perhaps, they want to close a huge contract or apply for visa and there is need to present evidence of being in business for the number of years they claimed, hence the need. #Itspersonal Once a week I will be sharing a few #personal experiences around my areas of interest. It will be a plus if they can inspire someone on their journey. Here is my first one. Most of my money has been made through #applyingmyowneffort. It has either been me running a business or earning by helping secure business for others. This approach has been both good and bad for me. I have known times of #greatabundance but I have also known times of #greatlack in equal measure. There is a lot of uncertainty around earnings and meeting needs with this approach. A few times the experience has been #hybrid where I have a #retainer and #commissions determined by #volumeofbusiness brought. This for me is a better option because you have a few guarantees but it could also result in you #restingonyourlaurels because you know there is something for you at the end of the day. This approach is not for everyone. I wouldn’t advise you to go for it if you are one who values #safetyandsecurity. If on the other hand you are a risk taker willing to go all out and #liveyourdream, this is it. It has come with its fair share of challenges. I have found myself in positions where #bills are due and there is no money to settle them. I have had to borrow sometimes to cover the shortfalls. Other times, it has forced #myspouse(thank God for her) to dig deeper into her pockets to help out and I have had to shelve some goals because the funds were just not matching. In the good times though, I have managed to put a few things in place. I do not overly live a life of struggle though I know some #stability would have done me a world of good. I have grown significantly in this space and I know the #lessonslearnt will go a long way in what I am building towards. My future definitely still lies in #entrepreneurship and #investment though I lean more towards investment because I want to be free to do a lot more in the area of ministry and service to people.
