I am excited to post an update from my colleagues at Columbia University. Endometriosis is a chronic and sometimes devastating medical problem that can be difficult to understand. The more understanding each patient has of her symptoms and the more understanding we physicians have of what happens in each patient, the closer we come to helping each woman overcome her setbacks and move forward to live her life. There is no better time to recognize this advance in endometriosis care than during Women's Health Awareness Month!   Citizen Endo, a research project led by researchers at Columbia University in partnership with patients to better understand and better manage endometriosis, has released an updated version of their free app: Phendo. In order to study a disease, we need to know what it looks like. When it comes to endometriosis, there are many different ways in which the disease can present itself in patients.
