Events are not over, even if they are over. 50% of the work is over when the event is over. 50% of the work starts after that. Event marketers understand this all too well. After the event is done, they have to: 1. ensure all leads are followed up properly 2. content from the event finds its stride 3. learnings from this event can be applied to the next events. And let's not even talk about the logistics. That deserves another post of its own. Happy National Event Organizers Day! Yes, that’s right, my fellow planners, it’s our day (that nobody probably knows about)! We are the unsung heroes of the event world! And just like those snacks that magically appear, the AV that (almost) never fails, and the smooth transitions between sessions, this "holiday" might fly under the radar for most. While the spotlight often shines on the speakers, location, and attendees, we’re the ones sweating the details behind the scenes, making sure nothing goes up in flames (literally and figuratively). But hey, we wouldn’t have it any other way, right? So, here’s to all my fellow event organizers! While we and the work we do may be invisible to most, without us the chaos would be all too visible. GIVE THE SAME ENERGY IF NOT MORE TO THAT VIRTUAL EVENT.✅ A virtual event is somewhat similar to a physical event because you have guest speakers, audience and of course the host/moderator. Interestingly there's a venue which is the online space and there's also an agenda which is the reason for the gathering in the first place. The only thing that differentiates a virtual event from a physical one is in the two words virtual and physical. At a virtual event there's no physical contact and depending on the platform used one might not get to see the people present but only hear them when they speak. However, like every event it deserves to go seamlessly! As a master of ceremonies(MC), I prepare for virtual events as I would for physical ones. I script my intro, body and outro. I imagine the event in my mind, think of possible glitches so I can stay afloat and communicate with my clients effectively on the results that they want from the event. You might wonder ah an all this for a virtual event?😁 Well, yes! All this and more is what I bring to the table to ensure a smooth flow at every event that I either host, co-host or moderate. It's always a pleasure to execute every job with steeze, excellence and lest I forget demure.🤭 For the clients that have trusted me so far I say thank you.
