Responsible AI and AI Ethics are fundamental to everything we do at SAP when building amazing AI capabilities into our products. That’s why I am proud to share that SAP has taken a significant step in our ongoing commitment to ethical AI by cementing the ten guiding principles of the UNESCO Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence into our Global AI Ethics Policy. Since publishing our AI ethics principles in 2018, we ensure that our AI applications are built according to our core values such as transparency, explainability, human oversight and determination. By further expanding these values to UNESCO's recommendations, we continue to reinforce our dedication and expand our pledge to proportionality, sustainability, awareness, multi-stakeholder collaboration, and more. These principles ensure that AI at SAP respects #humanrights, promotes fairness, and contributes to sustainable developments in AI. They will continue to guide our efforts as we navigate the evolving landscape of #AI. Our established AI Ethics Steering Committee oversees and reviews these principles when it comes to high-risk use cases and the release of new AI capabilities.
