In a world where necessity breeds invention, complexity often follows suit. As apps evolve to meet user demands for greater sophistication and performance, their underlying architectures grow increasingly intricate. In our latest blog post, we dive into observability – an essential aspect of modern application development that provides visibility into the performance and behaviors of systems for effective monitoring and debugging. Here's a sneak peek into a few key trends we're exploring across the observability landscape: 🔍 Observability Pipelines: Real-time filtering, enrichment, and routing for telemetry data management. 🛠️ Insertion of LLMs: Simplification of the user experience and enhancement of analytics and downstream automation. 🧠 Emergence of AI/ML Observability: Tools to monitor and optimize AI/ML workloads for the model development lifecycle. 📊 Industry-Wide Standardization and OpenTelemetry: Embracing OpenTelemetry for interoperability and efficiency. 💾 Bring-Your-Own Storage Backend: Flexible infrastructure utilization for cost-effective operations. 🔗 Visibility into the CI Pipeline: Optimizing the software development processes from end to end. 💼 Linking Business Outcomes to Systems Data: Correlating product-level metrics with backend performance for informed decision-making. Sapphire Ventures Casber Wang, David Carter, and Andrew Slade discuss the observability market opportunity and landscape, the challenges and innovations shaping the industry and the startups we believe are paving the way. Great landscape Sapphire Ventures, but 'data observability' is missing imho. Telemetry is mentioned 16 times in the blog, and a link is made to 'Site Reliability Engineers'. The biggest value for them does not come from checking if the pipelines are running but from looking at the "content + context of data": Can I trust this telemetry data? Does it represent the actual state of the process? Timeseer.AI is tackling this at scale, focusing on IoT/OT data. any reason why this category has not been included? 🧐

Great to see SigNoz being mentioned here. Just to clarify, we do Log Analytics and Application Performance monitoring also, apart from Infrastructure monitoring 😀

Sapphire Ventures Datadog should be in all the rows. You completely missed #Kloudfuse

Perhaps HyperDX deserves a spot light. It's an open source observability platform, a pretty good one. Cheers!
