🎵 NO PHONES please... 📴 During ‘A Sky Full of Stars,’ the performance paused for a "quick meeting" with the crowd. The result? Over 100,000 voices united in a breathtaking sing-along, lighting up the field in purple and fireworks. But beyond the magic, let's look at the insights: 45% of attendees were aged 25-34 Slightly more males than females Around 5,000 international visitors https://lnkd.in/ex4yq3fM What can we learn from mobile network data at Glastonbury? How can event managers use this data for future planning? Share your thoughts below! 👇 #MusicLovers #EventManagement #dataandinsights

The quiz and gameshow industry is one of the UK's most innovative TV sectors, one you can definitely make the argument we lead the world in. And yet, The Answer Run comes out today and its basically the first new pure quiz show in about six months. https://lnkd.in/ezXgjwCu What I want to know is, what is the big plan? How are we going to move through this moment?

Bob Dylan has announced a 10-date UK tour kicking off in November – with shows in Bournemouth, Nottingham, and Wolverhampton. Here’s the kicker – when you get there, you’ll have to switch off your phone and then put it in a locked pouch (so no sneaking it out!). Damon Albarn (Blur, Gorillaz) has a different take to Dylan, insisting that fans are less likely to go on their phones if you’re engaging with them in the right way: https://lnkd.in/esN3ZZZv Coincidentally, this debate has been on my mind a lot recently. While at Wimbledon the other week, I noticed more phones than ever being held up during play – the Members were not amused! 😂🎾 These days, it’s no longer just about being there and getting the T-Shirt. You need to be there and take the photo, video or stream it live on Instagram – making sure everyone knows you’re part of it 📱 There’s definitely something to be said for user-generated content – people value authenticity in the digital age. I’m all for getting a souvenir snapshot or video clip of an event too (yup, that's me posing BEFORE play began on Centre Court!) The problem is people filming chunks or even entire events – and sometimes even obscuring the view of others in the process. 🤳 What happened to living in the moment? It’s surely better than a grainy video you probably won’t even re-watch once the event’s over. And if you do want to relive your favourite music and sporting moments, leave the filming to the professionals. They’ve got the gear to capture these events in high-definition and quality audio, from a range of angles. Who knows – you might even spot yourself in the crowd! #liveislife #playerplus #livemusic #livesport #events #capture #streaming

Live sports production is a team sport. Behind every game-winning shot, touchdown replay, or crucial highlight, there’s a crew working in perfect sync to make it happen. As an EVS operator, I’ve seen firsthand that teamwork is what makes live broadcasts come to life. In a live production environment, there’s no time for second-guessing: • Producers set the vision. • Directors call the shots. • Camera operators capture the moments. • EVS operators deliver the replays. It’s a coordinated effort where trust and communication are everything. One missed cue can mean the difference between a seamless highlight and a lost moment. For me, the best productions happen when every person understands their role and trusts their teammates to deliver. Working with crews like my current CBS B-show team, I’m reminded how much we rely on each other to succeed. The replays may roll because of me, but it’s the team that ensures we tell the story right. What’s the best team you’ve ever worked with? And what role do you think teamwork plays in a successful live broadcast? I’d love to hear your thoughts. #LiveSports #SportsProduction #Teamwork #BehindTheScenes #BroadcastMedia #EVSOperator #LiveBroadcast #Collaboration

🚀 Just wrapped up an incredible LinkedIn Live event with Shanté all about purpose-driven business operations! We talked about LOTS, but here are my 3 favorite topics: 1️⃣ Operations as the Heartbeat of Business ❤️ : Operations are not just about strategy and execution but are vital in shaping company culture. Your vision, mission, and values should be reflected in every single strategic initiative from design to implementation and roll-out. 2️⃣ Importance of Early Ops Awareness and Leadership 🔎 : Bringing in an operations leader early can set the framework for success. Operational audits and early consults can help identify gaps and set a clear roadmap for growth. 3️⃣ Effective Change Management 🤝 : Teams must be involved in change initiatives and maintaining continuous improvement. Regular feedback sessions and clear communication can turn resistance into collaboration. Missed the live session? No worries! That's what the comments and DMs are for 😉 What are your thoughts on the role of operations in driving purpose-driven business success? 💬👇 #Operations #BusinessGrowth #Leadership #FractionalCOO #PurposeDrivenBusiness

I'm Andy Lloyd, and have had a passion for radio all my life. Which is why I am re-launching several 'heritage’, local stations online, recreating the magic, sound and excitement of radio, as it used to be. Over the past few years, the radio landscape across the UK has changed. Local stations have disappeared, replaced by repetitive, robotic, and remote formats. Most of the content comes from London, so there is no local identity, no practical purpose and the same output 24/7 - much like a cold-water tap! Our project is designed to bring back real radio for real people. Our target audience is aged 40+, and our mix of music and programming will really suit all tastes. Less Global, More Local, you could say. The network we will be launching comprises 23 stations. We have a fully operational studio, the technology is in place, and we are running test transmissions, with a plan to launch the full stations soon. The project is a not-for-profit social enterprise, Independent Local Radio Limited, and we hold the UK trademarks for our stations, including Chiltern Radio, County Sound, Radio Victory, Pennine Radio, Radio Orwell, Southern Sound, Saxon Radio, WABC Radio and KCBC Radio. So far, I have funded everything myself, but as you can imagine, the costs involved are considerable so now we need your help. I’d be delighted to answer any questions, invite you to see the studio, and am keen to meet you, if you’d like to be involved. Contributions will be used for a subscription to a professional news service, music royalties, quality websites, alongside other innovations, such as Alexa Skills and iOS/Android apps. Having invested 10 years’ work into this enterprise, I know it WILL happen. We are almost there, but for the last few, very important, elements. Andy Lloyd's Morning Show - soon to be part of our station's programming - can be heard from 9am every weekday morning, on https://lnkd.in/eTdmwSH3 This is a good way to absorb the style and sound of the forthcoming stations. Financial support is ideal - and much needed - but if you’re unable to contribute, you can still be involved (radio production, presentation, web design and more). Please do get in touch with your ideas and suggestions too. Thank you. https://gofund.me/e39ae40c
