⚡ The dangers of relying on Recruitment Managed Services (RMS) for your SAP Transformation Programme. ⚡
RMS may seem like a convenient solution for recruitment, especially when facing a generic hiring challenge with ample time and candidate availability. However, the process behind RMS can often lead to disappointment. Here's how it typically unfolds:
Initially, RMS tries to find candidates independently to maximise their fee share. However, without a pool of SAP-specific candidates, they turn to advertising, which often takes weeks to a month, but seldom produces satisfactory results.
If direct sourcing fails, the requirement often goes to a Preferred Supplier List (PSL), however finding a SAP specialist on a PSL list is incredibly rare!
All PSL agencies get the requirements at the same time, this creates a mad rush as resourcers compete for the best candidates, unfortunately this creates some of the worst behaviour in the industry. EG, getting candidates to agree to be represented without ever intending to present them to the client, with the sole purpose of taking them off the market so that no other agent can put them forward to the client. This destroys the relationship between resourcer and candidate and can lead to legal challenges and scare mongering of clients - duplicating applications stands as the most detrimental occurrence within the overall recruitment process.
