As a direct result of racialized policies, like restrictive covenants, redlining and blockbusting, today’s Black and minority families are less likely to have the kind of generational wealth that can unlock homeownership. We know that the only way Black and minority communities can “catch up” on homeownership is if we are intentional about rectifying the history that got us here. Last week, CONVERGENCE Columbus launched the Maude Hill Growing Homeownership fund as a direct response to this research.
