£628'188 and £1'384'481... In January 2020 Severn Trent committed to giving away more than £10m over five years to community projects across the region, to make a real difference in the communities we serve. The fund focuses on three elements of community wellbeing: 1) People, 2) Place; and 3) Environment - with a favourability shown to projects that lie within a sweet spot that incorporates all three. Now in its fourth year Severn Trent are proud to have supported 103 not for profit organisations across the region with more than £2million in grants, helping support our communities and increase wellbeing for our customers. £628'188 has been awarded to 41 organisations to support core funding and £1'384'481 has been awarded to 62 projects. FRRR is bringing our five-year, place-based Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) program to Victoria. This grassroots program aims to build the capacity of not-for-profit (NFP) organisations. After extensive desktop reviews and community visits, five communities have been shortlisted as having the potential to achieve significant impact through the program. Over the next couple of weeks, FRRR is hosting online information sessions, inviting all community leaders, volunteers and staff involved with local not-for-profits and community groups in Colac, Hamilton, Swan Hill, Maryborough and Portland. We're so excited to meet with these communities and explore their interest in being part of the IRCF journey. We are thrilled to announce that three deserving communities in the Great South Coast have been shortlisted for the FRRR (Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal) for Rural & Regional Renewal's Investing in Rural Community Futures (IRCF) program. This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of local not-for-profit organisations, fostering long-term sustainability and resilience in regional areas. FRRR is hosting online information sessions over the coming weeks. These sessions are designed for community leaders, community-focused organisations, and sector professionals to learn more about the program and explore opportunities for collaboration. 🎗️ Reminder - Community Action & Fairer Life Chances Funds The National Lottery Community Fund Scotland has two funds open to #Aberdeenshire application: Community Action - will support community activities that bring communities together to improve wellbeing and develop positive relationships within those communities. Projects should help people connect with each other and/or the environment. The definition of community is being broadened for this fund to include people who share an identity, interest or experience, as well as people living in the same place. You can apply for funding between £20,001 and £250,000 for up to five years. Fairer Life Chances - Fairer Life Chances is for projects providing services that support children, young people and families, or that help people to be healthier or have better access to support. You can apply for funding between £20,001 to £500,000 for up to five years. The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has made a grant to Peak House Heritage Center. The funds - presented here by Marcella Musto to Rick Hooker and Rob Babson - will be used to restore eleven historic Elizabethan-style windows in the 313-year-old Peak House, a historical landmark located in Medfield. A new camera monitoring system is coming to the City of Arvada! Community safety starts with collaboration, and we’re proud to see our efforts in action. Through the Safer Streets #Grant Program, $56,000 funds, six new security cameras were purchased and will be installed to support local businesses and residents. This initiative is a clear example of how we work to empower neighborhoods and create safer, thriving spaces for everyone.
