My Assistant Manager, Livvy Lyons ran a meeting with our team this morning talking about messages that inspire. It was great hearing what inspires and what makes my team tick, but also seeing what drives them as to their "why?" when it comes to showing up. In giving my feedback to Livvy it got me thinking about mindsets and how the "why?" needs to align with what we're trying to achieve as a team otherwise we're not going to get anywhere. It's great that my team with their varying backgrounds share common mindsets and have that same will to succeed. #thoughtfulness #mindsetmatters

Never underestimate the power of a simple "thank you." It’s like the magic spell that turns a great team into productivity superheroes! Expressing gratitude to your team isn’t just good manners—it’s about boosting morale, creating good vibes, and reminding everyone they are valued. A well-placed "thank you" is like a virtual high-five that says, "You’re crushing it, keep it up!" It’s a simple way to build stronger connections without needing another (sometimes awkward) team-building activity. So, let’s toss those thank yous around like confetti. In saying that, a big thank you to my team this week, it certainly wasn't without it's challenges.

Showing appreciation to your team can make all the difference. When you tell them specifically what you like about their work and show them that their efforts are valued, it motivates them to continue working hard. I used to believe that my team should automatically do their job, but I was wrong. By applying what I've learned from LinkedIn, I've started giving my team high 5 cards and telling them exactly what I appreciate about their work. This small gesture has paid off in a big way, as evidenced by our increased sales. Remember, a little appreciation can go a long way in building a strong and motivated team.
