"Work-life balance!!lol" "On a lighter note, as soon as the townhall ended, boss came and told me to submit the reports by EOD." "EOD in literal sense. Haha." Just a thought - Who's responsible? Individual? Boss? Peers? Company? Family? Society? All? The questions have to be more intense if the root cause has to be identified. Unfortunately, to wake up this talk, a young life had to sleep forever. But is it just about that one life lost or is it about most who are on the brink of a mental break-down? The answers are not hard to find provided we have the courage to face the questions. :) #JustAThought

Colleagues are Family We spend around 9 hours each day with our colleagues. These 9 hours are the most important hours of our 24-hour day. The remaining hours are mostly spent sleeping, eating, commuting, and taking care of personal needs. In fact, compared to these 9 hours, we often spend less time with our actual families. Our workplace becomes a second home, and our colleagues become a second family. Together, we tackle challenges, celebrate successes, and support each other through the highs and lows. The bonds we form with our colleagues can have a profound impact on our professional and personal lives. Let's cherish these 9 hours and the relationships we build during them. Spending time with family is NOT an option for me 👉🏻 it's a necessity When I started working with my dad, I had problems switching and adjusting between the personal and professional sides with him. Slowly, I started learning how to maintain a line between both. And so we kept both our sides different. There are a lot of times when I’m working with Dad in the office and something relevant comes up from our personal life. There, we talk about it, laugh it off and then get back to our work again. When I say I have maintained a line, it doesn’t mean we act like employer and employee in the office or don’t talk about work at home. It simply means I’ve understood what’s important and to what extent. After I go home from a long day at work, I want my father to be there to listen to me, my mom to comfort me, and my grandparents to pamper me. Sitting here with my son who is under the weather has led me to reflect on past experiences in companies that promised work-life balance but fell short when it came time to deliver. I've learned that family always comes first, and I will never apologize for prioritizing their well-being. In the end, it's not about the jobs we've held but the legacy of love and service we leave behind. Working from home is proving to be a controversial topic again... But why? Is having a work life balance really that controversial? Is being able to be present for your family really that bad? Is being comfortable at work forbidden? As someone with countless health concerns, working from home has saved my working life. Without it, I don't doubt I would be unemployed right now as I'm classed as a disabled person for a couple of reasons. Getting to the office is taxing, walking is exhausting for me, and no matter how much I love the social aspect of the office I can't deny that it does take a toll. My mental health and physical health has improved massively since being able to adopt flexible working. On top of all that, I'm now welcoming a new chapter into my life of being a parent. Something I can't wait to do, but I'm aware it will unfortunately have an impact on my career. Without flexible working I'm sure that transition would be 10 times harder than it needs to be. Will I ever be 100% in the office? Probably not. Does that mean I can't do my job? Absolutely not. #DisabilityAwareness #MentalHealth #Working #NewChapter #FlexibleWorking #WFH
