One of the reasons allergens are so dangerous is that they instigate an immune response. This means the severity of reaction can be completely disproportionate to the allergen a person is exposed to. When someone is having an allergy reaction, the symptoms aren’t the direct result of the allergen, but the immune response triggered by the allergen. Even a tiny quantity of allergen can have fatal consequences. Allergens are disproportionately dangerous because they activate the immune system. #FoodManufacturing #FoodIndustry #FoodManufacturingIndustry #Food #FoodAndBeverage
