Reflecting on recent DEI news and the surge of AI-driven strategies, programs, and investments, I've come to a crucial realization… The human touch in AI is key 🔑 When humans design algorithms, providing instructions and rules guiding a computer's tasks, and AI systems rely on these algorithms as their foundation, DEI must be a major factor. This is how we get ethical and unbiased AI, as these algorithms empower AI systems to process data, learn, and make informed decisions or predictions. Without diverse perspectives incorporated, algorithmic bias will continue. We’ve seen this with facial recognition technology falsely identifying people for crimes and soap dispensers not recognizing dark skin. Here are my thoughts on the topic The Evolution of Human-AI Symbiosis: A Four-Phase Journey Phase 1: Bionic Integration We start by using bionic technology to fix and enhance body parts. Think of advanced prosthetics and neural links that let us operate at AI-level speeds, seamlessly interacting with multi-reality environments. This phase is all about integrating humans with advanced digital interfaces in real time and replacing any problem anatomy. Phase 2: Organic-Synthetic Fusion As we move forward, bionic enhancements will no longer look mechanical. Instead, they’ll use organic materials with synthetic functions, making them look and feel like natural skin and bones. This is where our human and AI elements blend so well that you can’t tell them apart. Phase 3: Inherent Augmentation Next, neural links and bionic enhancements become a natural part of being human. Newborns will be born with the ability to interface with both the physical and virtual worlds right from birth. This phase represents a new stage in human evolution where these enhancements are just part of who we are. Phase 4: Genetic Integration Finally, scientists will find a way to build these enhancements into our DNA. Future generations won’t need these technologies added at birth—they’ll be born with them. Just like in “blade runner,” this phase creates a new kind of human where the line between natural and enhanced is blurred, making us inherently augmented from the start. Kinda out there but I think this is how the next human evolution will look!

The future of humanity is at a crossroads. Will humans merge with AI or resist it? In a recent discussion on the Impact Theory podcast with David Friedberg, Tom Bilyeu highlighted over the next 15-20 years, we could witness a serious divergence in society. One group embracing technological advancements such as AI tools, humanoid robots and brain-computer interfaces like Neuralink... While another group, the 'Puritans,' resisting these advancements in favour of a simpler, nature-focused and technology-free lifestyle. Puritans: • No physical augmentations • No micro-technologies • No use of AI Augmenters: • Open to physical augmentation • AI girlfriends • Full use of AI in their daily lives ChatGPT was only released in November 2022, and we've already begun to see this split emerge with the proliferation of AI chicks and chatbots. My gut is the majority of people will probably land somewhere in the middle. A balance between the productivity benefit AI can bring to our daily lives versus the raw humanistic desire to live off the land and be out in nature. But I can't help but feel that sometime in the distant future, there will be a new augmented species. One in which humans do, in fact, merge with artificial intelligence.
