You know the ole adage: the calf is the second heart of the body…❤️ We’ve been traveling a lot lately, so it feels like a good time to share what I know I need to do to fend off those post-flight cankles! Since we don’t have a ton of space to flip up into a headstand mid-flight (though we’re intrigued by the challenge), we need to have some other good intervention practices at the ready. 👉 High-level intermittent compression (one of the many reasons why I travel with voodoo bands) can speed up the movement of the retained fluid 👉 Legs up the wall (when you get home, in your hotel, in the airport lounge if you don’t want to wait that long) goes a long way for reintegrating circulation 👉 Go for a walk! This can help manage/facilitate the decongestion in the lower legs! Gravity is your friend, but sometimes it needs a little assistance, so make sure you are giving yourself (and your second heart) the proper attention it needs post-flight! Save this post to come back to the next time those #cankles make an appearance! And be sure to comment AMBUSH to receive more tips like this directly to your inbox!

The SpaceX Travel Card is an interesting concept, but it's important to understand that it currently doesn't exist as a real product or service offered by SpaceX. Here's a breakdown of the concept: Origin: The idea likely originated from a Reddit post or creative concept showcasing what booking space travel with SpaceX might be like in the future. Functionality (imagined): This card would hypothetically allow users to book flights to various destinations in space, including the Moon and other planets. It might also include features like: Selecting the date and number of travelers. Viewing available flights and launch windows. Managing travel documents and boarding passes. #SpaceX #TravelCard #IA

The stages that make up the central core of Europe’s new rocket, Ariane 6, have left mainland Europe and are heading towards Europe’s spaceport in French Guiana. Shipping across the Atlantic, the main stage and upper stage were loaded into the purpose-built hybrid sailing ship Canopée at the harbours of Bremen, Germany, and Le Havre, France. Canopée left the port of Le Havre carrying the last elements that will form the first Ariane 6 rocket to soar into space. Canopée is scheduled to arrive at the port of Pariacabo in Kourou, French Guiana, by the end of February. From there, the two stages will be transported by truck the last few kilometres to Europe’s Spaceport. The two stages that are now en route to French Guiana form Ariane 6’s central core. They will be connected horizontally at Europe’s Spaceport before being transported a few kilometres to the launch area and lifted upright. Once upright, two boosters will be added for Ariane 6’s first flight; they are already in French Guiana. Lastly, the upper composite fairing – a nosecone that splits vertically in two – and the payloads will be attached on the launch pad. Engineering Integration Lead for Pressurized Rover Team at NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration
An amazing amount of progress in 18 months over the course of five flights. They tried a twig snap on IFT-1 it didn't work so they went with hot staging something that hasn't been done in a while. and it worked on IFT-2 Flight 3 saw RCS issues on orbit so they added redundant string for flight 4. and it coasted beautifully for flight 4 The flaps saw burn through on IFT-4 so they added secondary thermal layer under the tiles. Still a little burn through on this flight but flight 7 will see more leeward flaps with V2 starship so flight 6 will probably just do some orbit burns and still have flap issues. But by the end of this year we could still see flights 6&7 that means two more booster catches, two more splashdown of starship off Australia or Hawaii and the first flight of V2 starship. Onward to the moon. #starship #ift5 #artemis #spaceexplorstion https://lnkd.in/gHX4yza2

COO at Scanway Space: advanced optical instruments for space 🛰, expert in Earth Observation, camera systems, and optoelectronics 🔭 #newspace #earthobservation #payloads
If you want to understand why and how planes are flying - you don't learn just about the engines, you also try to understand about the physics, wings etc. This is why we at Scanway Space decided to start our new cycle of "Lens on Orbit", where with Jedrzej Kowalewski we'll talk and discuss not only matters related to the optical payloads for Earth Observation, but also we'll tackle the topics of data processing, testing, launching things into space and many more. We see such actions as necessary on the verge of launch of our biggest optical payload that will fly in #EagleEye mission. For people who are not working in space industry, some of the aspects of preparing a product for satellite might not be clear. Enjoy! P.S. It will be mainly in Polish, but there are subtitles :)
Trzy, dwa, jeden.. Zapnijcie pasy, startujemy! #space #polishspace #satellites #technology #EO #OnO

The future of travel is looking skyward, and Virgin Galactic is leading the charge. In a groundbreaking move, the company plans to increase their flight frequency to an impressive three trips per week. This ambitious schedule could potentially send 750 people to space annually, bringing the dream of space tourism closer to reality for many. While the current ticket price of £600,000 may seem astronomical, Virgin Galactic's strategy of using their reliable mothership 'Eve' for launches while developing new 'Delta' spaceships suggests a long-term vision for more accessible space travel. However, it's worth noting that a legal dispute with Boeing may cause some delays, and there's an existing queue of customers who purchased tickets at lower prices. For an in-depth look at Virgin Galactic's plans and other extraordinary journeys, both on Earth and beyond click here: https://lnkd.in/eU5pPiTs The cosmos is calling - are you ready to answer? #SpaceTourism #FutureTravel #LuxuryExperiences

Here are some of the oldest fishing villages in the area, nowadays embedded in the current urban environment but still preserving their authenticity. Among them are #Boccadasse and #Nervi, characterised by colourful small houses and stone staircases, rising around small beaches used as moorings for local fishermen's boats. 📸 Boccadasse, #Genova (#Italy). #AerialImage, #CGR / e-GEOS production © e-GEOS.
