We organized an internal Hackathon in our company ( Mobiux ), complete with trophies and certificates for the winners. As an added surprise, we decided to present certificates and gifts to the organizers. I took on the responsibility of designing this unexpected certificate. In any given opportunity, even the smallest task, we should always view it as a chance to innovate. With only one hour to design and print, I opted to break away from the norm. Instead of placing the date on the bottom left and the signature on the right, following the conventional format, I left space for both without explicit instructions. Most certificates are in landscape mode, but I chose a portrait orientation. I also changed the content structure by leading with the recipient's name. Patterns tend to dominate various aspects of our lives, and even designers can fall into familiar traps. For instance, when someone insists that an icon must be near the text to fill space, it's essential to question the reasoning behind it and explore alternatives. While adding a colorful button with a smooth animation may seem appealing, we must also consider whether a button is genuinely necessary. In the end, what we must grasp is the importance of balancing both perspectives. Rather than blindly adhering to established patterns, we should question the 'why' and seek alternatives, fostering a creative and thoughtful approach to design. #creative #hackathon #200OK #mobiux #designinspiration #designcommunity #breakthebias

Hello connections!! I recently participated in my first ideathon 'innovertex' organised by the TechNeeds IGDTUW team. Our team (Brainblaze) - Charushi . , Khushi Bansal & Suhani Jain - worked on the problem statement ' safety on campus' and we chose the topic 'women safety' . We created : ✨An amazing prototype ✨Well designed ppt explaining our ideas and application ✨ Engaging videos showing the demo of the prototype, while also explaining its features. Even though we couldn't get selected in the top 10 teams ( we just missed by 1 point) , I'm really glad that I participated in this event because it has taught me soo much : >Collaboration & effective communication skills >Work (and time) management skills >Respecting everyone's opinions and ideas , especially while working as a team >Also got to know about Figma and UX-UI designs Thank you TechNeeds IGDTUW for giving me this opportunity. Okay, now we're ready for our first Solo users. We had a little hiccup with import that we had to sort out, it's fixed. We're ready to introduce Solo to the world. Here's why Solo is special. Never pick a task - your sales tool should be telling you what to do at all times. If you're logging in and having to figure out what to do, that's legacy. The difference is amazing. Super simple - this will be one of the easist all-in-one sales tools to adopt, ever. Our UI designer might be a savant. Another week at Co.Lab 🚀 joincolab.io down and things are kicking into full gear! Our midpoint demo is coming up soon, and I'm anxious yet excited at the same time to show what strides we've made so far alongside my #COLAB28 cohort. 👨🚀PM with the vision👨🚀 John Miranda has been putting in a lot of work rallying everyone together and making sure that we're all aligned on our goals. On top of that, I'm speechless at how quickly he recruited test participants for our user testing sessions next week. I'm used to doing that myself, so it was a pleasant surprise! 🧙♂️Devs are actually wizards🧙♂️ It's been really inspiring seeing the progress made so far by our devs Ethan Harrington and Kodjo Avossan! With user testing, design handoff to devs, and our midpoint demo coming up, I'll need to be on top of my game so that they can be at 100%. There's still the finishing touches to be added to the prototypes before they're ready for the intial round of usability testing. I can't wait to see what our test participants think of the current design, and what ways we can improve upon it.
