Last night while surfing through my phone I just stumbled over a snippet from an episode of The Simpsons’s. Something caught my attention and to satisfy my #curiosity, I immediately went to YouTube to see the full episode.. it was the one where a fictional character Ron Swanson’s goes to the #Lagavulin distillery because it’s his favourite #whisky, Perfect example of blending #humor with product identity. Cartoons have influenced #innovation in the whisky industry by inspiring creative #branding and #marketing approaches. For instance, Monkey Shoulder uses playful, cartoon-like branding to stand out in a traditionally serious market, Similarly, brands like Bira 91 use quirky, cartoonish mascots and visuals to stand out, appealing to younger #consumers and breaking traditional branding norms. These examples show how cartoons break traditional norms, injecting #creativity and #relatability into #whisky branding. Why do they do it?
