The 2024 Olympics are already under way, demonstrating how technology is revolutionizing sports. Computer Vision (CV) is one of the most significant advancements that is transforming sports training and injury prevention. Real-time monitoring and capturing of athletes' movements via Computer Vision offers immediate, impartial feedback. This data-driven method allows for exact training modifications, lowering the risk of injuries that are common when relying on subjective feedback. Athletes can use CV to hone their skills and identify specific areas that require improvement. Modern deep learning algorithms can identify intricate movement patterns and anticipate certain injuries. These systems, for instance, monitor biomechanics of an athlete to identify over usage of muscles, joints early on by giving insights into unintentional joint movements. And since minor deviations from ideal techniques can impact athlete’s performance significantly, CV enables coaches to focus more on training strategies than constant technique corrections to enhance the motion analysis. Artificial intelligence, with its multiple applications, promises to revolutionize the experience for both athletes and spectators.  In a groundbreaking initiative, the International Olympic Committee – IOC launched the Olympic AI Agenda in April 2024, setting out the envisioned impact that AI can deliver for sport.  Ilario Corna, IOC’s Chief Technology Officer says "They started gathering various operational data as far back as 2020, to look at how we can make the management of the Olympic Games more efficient" and working on #DigitalTwinning for efficient planning. #Olympic2024
