6 benefits of scope 3 supplier engagement (and how our expert team does it) 🤝 Scope 3 supplier engagement is actively collaborating with your suppliers to improve sustainability, ethical practices, and overall performance within your supply chain. 🪴 By engaging with your suppliers, you can address various issues such as reducing carbon emissions, promoting responsible sourcing, and enhancing labour standards. 🌳 (Oh - if you don't yet know your scope 3 from your scopes 1 and 2 - check out the handy pic at the back of the slides below) If you didn't know already: your supply chain is a BIIIIIG deal. 🦖 Scope 3 emissions are where most of your carbon footprint sits. The supply chain usually accounts for around 75% of a company’s carbon footprint and can also contribute significantly towards an organisation’s nature impacts. 🦋 So, meeting net-zero targets means achieving significant reductions throughout your supply chain - you simply can’t get there without doing it. 📉🌍 Learn more about our unique approach to supply chain engagement here 👉 https://lnkd.in/dvnK-aj7 (or feel free to drop Stephanie Schlipper a message) 👋 #Scope3 #NetZero #SustainableBusiness #SupplyChain #CorporateSustainability

Pleased to share BCG’s new Decarbonization Index, a comprehensive tool designed to evaluate the top 100 global logistics service providers (LSPs) across five key areas: Target Setting, Strategy, Reporting, Enablement, and Execution. Having co-authored this Index, I’m excited to introduce it as a resource for driving meaningful progress in the sector. The results show the industry has a long way to go, with an overall score of just 6 out of 100. Key insights: 1. Incremental progress: A 1-point improvement from 2022 to 2023 shows gradual movement, but more action is needed. 2. Frontrunners emerging: Eight LSPs are making bold, strategic moves to lead the way. 3. Momentum building: More companies are stepping up their decarbonization efforts, including clean fuel commitments. LSPs play a crucial role in reducing emissions. Now is the time to act. Explore the full report and discover how your organization can accelerate its decarbonization efforts: https://lnkd.in/dMQXR4GE #Decarbonization #Sustainability #Logistics #NetZero #BCG #GreenLogistics

In today’s economic climate, cash flow is the lifeblood of growth. Many businesses struggle to balance the need for investment in technologies with achieving value for money from suppliers. This challenge intensifies when employees without procurement expertise make purchasing decisions, often negotiating against suppliers with deep market insights. By bringing in skilled procurement specialists at critical stages, such as contract negotiations, businesses can level the playing field and secure optimal terms. Effective procurement isn’t just about cost-cutting - it’s about freeing up cash flow to reinvest in growth. #CarbonNeutral #NetZero #Procurement #CostManagement #PAS2060 #CarbonManagement #CarbonReduction #Sustainability #TotalCarbonSolutions #CostReduction
