My LinkedIn Zero to Hero Journey continues...
I REPOST. Therefore I AM.
Yes, I know, I'm meant to post often and on time and each post has to be legendary. It's just another set of deadlines! God, the pressure to post is going to make me vomit on the keyboards soon.
So, after throwing myself into this LinkedIn whirlpool I have gained some followers. Up from 360 - less the followers who I discovered had passed away but were still following me from beyond the grave. Zombie followers, I guess. I've kept them, of course. They can repost for me in Heaven / Hell. There's a lot of potential followers in the afterlife. Assuming there is LinkedIn in heaven? Good wifi, sure, but terrible coffee I expect. I'm onto something here.
I need to add some famous religious figures to my 'Top 10 People Who Really Should Follow Me' list (see earlier post), who will then guide me in signing up deceased followers. Also our designer Pim loves Taylor Swift and said she would be a noteworthy follower.
But at the current rate of follower growth, the heat death of the Universe (yes, I've read a book) will likely occur before I reach a million followers.
My co-director Adrian (he's the younger, more virile one, as keeps reminding me) says I should shamelessly ask to follow more people. So I will sit down tomorrow and furiously hit the 'follow' button until my special typing finger starts to bleed.

BUT HANG ON! If ask to follow lots of people, then am I really confirming my long suspected status as a follower, not a leader. And I want to be a LEADER. Obviously, that's my natural role. All the people in my 'Top 10 People Who Really Should Follow Me' are leaders in their fields. The number of followers they have confirm this, yes? Anyway, once Ms Swift id added it will be Top 11. Catchy. Like her tunes.
Right, LinkedIn serious business person hat on now. As Robin my studio director will say to me just before going into a client meeting; "Now remember Simon - Listening Head, Listening Head."
Ouno Creative is in the process of rapidly transforming itself into an agency that incorporates AI into nearly all facets of our operations.
