✨ This past June, ESCP Business School's five campuses came together in Paris for our annual assembly. Over these few days, we engaged in enlightening discussions about the future direction of the Jean-Baptiste Say Institute - ESCP Business School. It was an exceptional opportunity packed with discussions and ideas to build stronger bonds with colleagues from other campuses. 🎤 We held a series of member-led sessions aimed at keeping everyone informed and updated. Inventive ideas for the future of the Say Institute were brought to the table, sparking anticipation for the transformation ahead. 🙌 We also paid particular attention to welcoming our new colleagues taking care of startup support, including Harry McDonough, the new Head of Blue Factory in London, Livia Zimermann de Araujo Durigan, the new Head of Blue Factory Berlin, and Julia Maigné, the new program manager of Blue Factory Paris. 🔑 In addition, we arranged proper handovers for key tasks: Christoph Seckler will assume the role of Head of European Research Committee from Jiang Yi Dragon, Rand Gerges-Yammine will take over the Head of Teaching and Learning duties from Robert Sheldon, and Robert Sheldon will become the European Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship Department, succeeding René Mauer. The assembly in Paris was a resounding success, marked by productive discussions, strategic planning, and a renewed sense of community and collaboration. We look forward to seeing the innovative ideas discussed come to fruition and to continuing our journey towards excellence together. #ESCP #Entrepreneurship #ESCPBlueFactory #JeanBaptisteSayInstitute

🇺🇸 Day 3 at MIT done with of course an evening walk around campus. Today we were spoilt by yet another two amazing lecturers. We first heard from Bill Aulet who provided an Overview of Disciplined Entrepreneurship in Action: - The more times you are an entrepreneur - the more times it becomes easier. It's like riding a bike - Good artists create…great artists “steal” - The best person you can ever have Is your existing customer - The strength of a pack is the wolf. But the strength of the wolf is in the pack - Disciplined entrepreneurship doesn't give you simple answers.. It gives you a framework to make an informed decision We then heard from Paul Cheek on Disciplined Entrepreneurship Tactics - The “Mouse Trap Model” – this really opened my eyes to an approach to obtain customers which I simply had never thought of before - Know the market demand before building the product – can you sell the product to justify the investment into the product? - Three key criteria of the minimum viable business product (MVBP): - Value – Customer gets value - Pays – the economic buyer pays something for the product - Feedback – starting meaningful feedback loop with the end user. 🚀 Reflecting on an Unforgettable Journey: The Enterprise Edge Event at Northumbria University 🚀 Yesterday, I had the privilege of participating in an event that was nothing short of transformative: The Enterprise Edge Event, hosted by Northumbria University. This immersive event pushed the boundaries of creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurial thinking, offering insights and practical skills for budding entrepreneurs like myself. In the company of talented peers and under the guidance of industry experts such as Sam Clegg, Helena Hill, and John McRae, we embarked on a journey to solve real-world problems. Sam Clegg set the stage with inspiring words on overcoming creative blocks and the essence of a robust business plan, including the exploration of the business model canvas. Helena Hill introduced us to the art of understanding target customers through virtual profiles, delving into their demographics and preferences. John McRae illuminated the path to distinguishing our ventures with a unique selling point (USP), a principle as crucial for startups as for established giants. Stepping outside the classroom, we took our ideas to the streets, engaging with real people to validate our concepts. This hands-on approach not only refined our ideas but also equipped us with critical insights into what it takes to turn a vision into reality. A heartfelt thanks to Graham Baty, Northumbria University, Northumbria Graduate Futures, and the amazing speakers for a day brimming with inspiration and actionable insights. The journey of learning and growth continues, and I am more prepared than ever to face the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. #NorthumbriaUniversity #EnterpriseEdge #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #BusinessSkills #Teamwork
