The Power of Collaboration 🌟 Efficient Packing of Ready-to-Eat Salads, introducing a valuable client 🔹 About the Client 🔹 Our client is a market leader in Europe, specializing in producing fresh convenience salads and fruit and vegetables. 🔹 The Challenge 🔹 Packing fresh salads with various toppings into trays for retail is often labor-intensive. The challenge was to automate this process to reduce labor costs and enhance food safety by minimizing human handling. 🔹 The Solution 🔹 We implemented a comprehensive line featuring three Multihead Weighers and other equipment to automate production. Transport of imported blueberries usually takes 20 to 30 days, which negatively affects their freshness and taste. On the contrary, domestic blueberries are fresh fruits that reach the market within three days of harvest, which ensures better taste and creates new opportunities for the domestic blueberry market. A restaurant serving dishes made with fish cultivated using insect feed has commenced operations. The Italian restaurant, located in Marubeni Corporation's headquarters building in Otemachi, Tokyo, will offer dishes made with sustainable ingredients until March 15th. Marubeni cultivates sea bream fed with insect in Kyushu. By gauging consumer reactions before entering full-scale distribution, Marubeni aims to explore optimal marketing and sales methods. There remains a certain level of hesitation among consumers, retailers, and wholesalers, particularly towards fish raised on insect feed. According to Marubeni's web survey, only 30% of respondents in their 20s to 30s, who were the most positive, expressed interest in trying sea bream raised on insect feed. However, when asked the same question after sampling sea bream raised on insect feed, 80% of respondents on average expressed a desire to continue consuming it. #sustainability #feed #insects
