Nazara Technologies Limited has successfully raised ₹855 crore (approximately $101.3 million) in funding from a group of investors, including SBI MUTUAL FUND, Mithun Sacheti (founder of CaratLane - A Tanishq Partnership), Aamara Capital Private Limited, and others. The funds will fuel Nazara’s growth initiatives in the gaming and sports media sectors, as disclosed in a filing with the stock exchanges. The company has received in-principle approvals from BSE and NSE for the allotment, with final listing and trading approvals anticipated shortly. SBI Mutual Fund emerged as the largest investor, acquiring 23.05 lakh shares for ₹219.99 crore. Junomoneta Finsol Pvt. Ltd. and Think India Opportunities Master Fund LP followed, each purchasing 15.71 lakh shares for ₹150 crore and ₹149.99 crore, respectively. Mithun Sacheti, along with his brother Dr. Siddhartha Sacheti (CEO of Jaipur Gems), invested ₹74.99 crore during the private placement round. Other participants in the round included Madhusudan Kela’s Cohesion MK Best Ideas Sub-Trust, Aamara Capital, Discovery Global Opportunity (Mauritius), Ratnabali Group, and Meenakshi Mercantiles. Following this funding round, Nazara’s total outstanding equity shares have increased from 7.65 crore to 8.55 crore.

#Mumbai-based gaming and sports media giant Nazara Technologies Limited has raised ₹855 crore (around $100 million) in a fresh funding round via a preferential issue of shares. The funds will be utilized to fuel the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including acquisitions and market expansion, as per the board's approval on November 27, 2024. Key Investors in the Round The funding was spearheaded by the SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund, which invested ₹220 crore for over 23 lakh shares. Other significant contributions came from Junomoneta Finsol Pvt. Ltd. and Think India Opportunities Master Fund LP, each committing ₹150 crore. Prominent investors Siddhartha Sacheti and Mithun Padam Sacheti also participated with ₹75 crore each. Nazara Technologies UK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nazara Technologies Limited, has entered into a loan agreement with Kiddopia®, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Paper Boat Apps, according to a recent BSE filing. As part of this internal investment, Kiddopia will disburse Rs 75 crore (approximately GBP 68,00,000) to Nazara UK in one or more tranches. The funds will be used for business purposes and the repayment of existing loans, in compliance with applicable laws. In a major development, Nazara Technologies Ltd, which owns both Nazara UK and Paper Boat Apps, also entered into a share subscription agreement with SBI Funds Management under its SBI Innovative Opportunities Fund to raise Rs 220 crore.
