This past Sunday, 3,000+ members of our community came together to celebrate Boston Children's lifesaving care. A little rain couldn't dampen the spirits of our Walkers, longtime volunteers, hospital employees and sponsors at the Eversource Walk for Boston Children's! We're so grateful to each one of our dedicated supporters who raised an incredible $1.3 million and counting!
Thank you to our sponsors including Eversource Energy and New Balance for making this day possible. We can't wait to do it all over again next year!
I had a wonderful night with Chris McDermott and everyone else who was invited to the Little Heroes Gala 'A Night of Pop' event.
Over the last 27 years, this foundation has raised close to $40,000,000 for sick children and their families by providing new equipment and facilities to Adelaide's Women's and Children's Hospital.

What is the value of ”Take Your Daughter to Work Day? We think it is education and empathy, so the child knows what the parent does daily, but it is so much more. It instills lifelong work values. Meahgan Gibson attended a “Take Your Daughter to Work Day” at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. To this day she reminds me of a few choice words I stated during a staff meeting but she also pursued a career in Leisure and Hospitality. More importantly she picked up values like; everybody is critical to success (especially the lowest paid hourly associates), every person has a story, treat people with dignity and respect, and if they have a name tag, user their name. Grow by trying new things that others shy away from. Powerful words are “thank you” and “can you help me”, and assisting others even if you do not have time. Today this was in my feed. I had no idea she was working on this. Biscuits and socks, who knew? But more importantly, a young professional (from a generation many professionals belittle) leading a project that reflects well on the brand and does good for the community. Also hats off to Dennis Pfaff, Maple Street Biscuit Company and Cracker Barrel for creating an organization culture where young professional growth occurs. Take your daughter to work and as a leader, your relationships matter more than you know. #cio#leadership
TLDR: I've been working on something pretty cool!
"The Maple Street Mantra: Help People, Serve Others, Be A Part Of The Community" is why I joined the team. I'm grateful to Maple Street Biscuit Company for allowing me to take on something so near and dear to who we are.
*Maple Street Silly Socks* a portion of sock sales will go directly to LifeQuest Organ Recovery Services and U.F. Health, supporting their incredible work to maximize the Gift of Life through organ and tissue donation.
This is particularly meaningful because giving back has always been a big part of who I am. From working with the Miami Children's Initiative during my time at the University of Florida to my work with the Harrison County Community Foundation, I've seen firsthand the impact we can make when we come together.
Your support means the world and will help create positive change in our community. P.S. The socks are pretty cool as well https://lnkd.in/gKJnfwB6
In our community, equine and music therapy stand as indispensable tools for children with special needs. However, the reality is that numerous families struggle to afford these essential services. This financial barrier shouldn't hinder a child's access to transformative care. That's where Equine Therapy Resources steps in. Our goal is clear: to bridge this gap and ensure that every child, regardless of financial constraints, receives the support they need to thrive.
By joining hands with us—whether through generous donations or participating in private riding lessons—you become a beacon of hope for these children and their families. Your contribution isn't just financial; it's a lifeline that propels these kids toward brighter futures.

If you’ve been around Womack for any amount of time, you’ve likely heard us talk about our Heart to Care. What does this mean to us? Our Heart to Care means actively making our community a better place, selecting charity partners that hit close to home for our employees, and putting time and resources towards the greater good. It means that kindness and compassion are non-negotiables. It means linking arms to contribute to something bigger than ourselves. Our Heart to Care is an inseparable part of who we are. Our Houston Area volunteers teamed up with two of our Weatherford Walks charitable partners, Small Steps Nurturing Center and PTSD Foundation Of America, and dedicated their efforts to giving back to the local community! The One Weatherford Team had a fantastic experience as they rolled up their sleeves, cleaning up classrooms at Small Steps and assisting with garden maintenance at Camp Hope. A big thank you to our volunteers who participated in these events, and to our charitable partners for hosting us. We are looking forward to Weatherford Walks 2024!
