I started at sea in 2020. Almost right away I was asked to volunteer for One World Surgery. We have the opportunity to serve the incredibly deserving people of Honduras and now the Dominican Republic. I've been on three missions. It is one of the most worthwhile things we can do with our lives. I have the privilege of working with incredible anesthesia providers who also come from all over the nation to volunteer, and it feels comfortable here. I feel like I know what I'm doing. But we also have many new things going on and new opportunities, new surgeons. Two teammates. Our spirit of service has many ripple effects. One thing I alluded to it when I was talking to are women who are here on the on the women's leadership was I view my role in terms of serving patients, but also the people who take care of our patients. As much as we give, we receive. So there's there's a bilateral learning that goes on. We take Nuggets back, we share, we help each other and it becomes a incredible journey that we know we will continue into the future. It makes us do a better job in taking care of people. And when we go back to the United States, we are way more likely to want to use those skills in our centers in healthcare, in taking care of patients.
