Tomorrow, another edition of the Scala Vendors Day is happening, and we're excited to welcome our partners in São Paulo! But before that, let's take a moment to look back at the first-ever Vendors Day Scala held earlier this year in Chile. It marked a significant milestone for the company in Latin America, bringing together over 70 participants, including key partners, to align on crucial Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS) strategies and reinforcing our commitment to excellence.
During the event, Scala’s leaders presented robust EHS guidelines and emphasized the importance of adhering to Chilean environmental regulations, reinforcing Scala's unwavering commitment to compliance and sustainability. In addition to the #EHS team, the event featured active participation from teams specializing in #ESG / #Sustainability, #Compliance, and #Operations, reflecting a collaborative approach to maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient work environment.
Lucas Suassuna Neto, VP of Engineering and Construction, shared his thoughts on the importance of aligning Scala's values with those of its vendors: "I’m very happy with the participation of our vendors and the involvement of the entire Scala team. Ultimately, our goal is for everyone working with us to be aligned with our values, particularly in terms of EHS and ESG."
Christiana Weisshuhn, Senior Communications and ESG Program Director, highlighted the importance of enhancing communication and engagement: “This is a great opportunity to strengthen Scala’s message with local teams. We aim to foster greater interaction, not only among Scalers but also with the community in which we are embedded.”
Other Scala leaders also shared their insights. Gustavo Souza Miranda Sacchetti, Senior Safety Manager, emphasized the importance of strengthening Scala’s safety culture. Cesar Hernán Herrera Lagos, Data Center Operations Manager, underscored the critical role of contractors in meeting Scala’s high standards for quality and environmental compliance. Augusto de Cerqueira Lima, LATAM Construction Manager, also underscored the importance of this event for suppliers and for our clients. Marcelo Forte Ramos, LATAM EHS Manager, reinforced Scala’s commitment to extending its EHS message throughout Latin America, following the success seen in Brazil.
We are incredibly proud of the strong relationships we are building with our partners and the #EHS and #sustainability culture we are fostering. As we prepare for tomorrow's event, Vendors Day continues to expand across all countries where Scala operates, contributing positively to the digital infrastructure landscape in Latin America. Stay tuned for updates!
