Hydraulic Systems Engineer doing super cool hydraulics stuff

I still would encourage research into lightweight hydraulics to power the props. This allows the engine to be stationary and also allows for a centralized engine configuration. The hydraulic motor would pivot with the props and the engine exhaust would not damage the tarmac.

The first tilt rotor was the Bell XV-3. Made its first flight in 1955. The push for a viable, widespread use tilt rotor has been going on for almost 70 years.
