Hiring great Sales Execs & Leaders in Germany can be a nightmare 😭 Recently, I helped a tech firm hire a Sales Director, DACH. They had been looking for over 6 months. Struggling to find good candidates. I evaluated what they did wrong: The Mistakes: ❌ Posting a job advert ❌ Containing poor content ❌ Waiting 3 weeks to respond ❌ Being late for interview video calls ❌ Using Internal Recruiters in USA to interview ❌ USA recruiters who knew nothing about Germany ❌ Using the same sales pitch for Germany as they used for USA The changes: ✅ First, I created a long list of target companies ✅ And made a list of 200 target people ✅ I dropped them a personal note ✅ And booked short video calls ✅ Explained the German GTM ✅ To show they were serious ✅ And understood DACH ✅ Followed up on time ✅ 3 great candidates ✅ Paid top comp ✅ Filled the role 👏 🔥 To attract the best Execs in Germany, you need to understand Germany! 🤕 Finding it hard to hire great sales talent in Germany? Tech salespeople are in great demand all over Europe. But in no place are they harder to find than in Germany. After 3 years deep in this market, here are my main insights 👇 🧲 Talent shortage: Demand for salespeople far exceeds supply. 🐟 Overfished pool: Everyone hires from the same limited talent pool, making candidates more demanding and retention rates low. 👎 Poor hiring processes: Even great companies lose candidates due to poorly managed hiring processes. So what can you do? 👇 💅 Be attractive: Candidates value more than just money. Offer flexible home office options, internal training, a feedback culture, and career development plans. 🥇 Improve your hiring process: Just nail the basics. Make the first touchpoint exceptional. Keep the process short, communicate well, and be transparent. 🤗 Broaden your criteria: Great salespeople come from diverse backgrounds. Many of our top performers didn't follow a traditional career path. Be open to alternative backgrounds. What are your best practices for hiring great sales talent in Germany? If you're struggling to find great salespeople in Germany, DM me. I can help! #salestalent #recruiting #techsales

Who is hiring German-speaking sales reps and wants to raise awareness for their employer brand in DACH at the moment? 👀 We've just opened applications for this year's SDRs of Germany Day local hosts, and this is what you get: For each of our 8 locations within DACH (Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Munich, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Vienna and Zurich) we are choosing partners who will be able to showcase their office and employer brand to the sales community in their city. At every location, we will gather 50-75 community members for a night of networking, inspiration, food, drinks and a ton of fun — as always 😜 So, if your company has a cool office in one of the 8 locations, is hiring sales reps or wants to increase their employer brand awareness in DACH, send me a DM and I will follow up with the specifics 🙌🏻 Would love it if you could tag your favourite tech companies with great offices and locations in Germany, Austria or Switzerland in the comments 😍 #saleslove #sales #sdrsofgermany

I joined BeNeering three months ago, and I can honestly say it is a great company. I love the culture of the family-run business which is not dependent on external stakeholders or financiers. People treat each other with respect and kindness, and the management style is exemplary (believe me, I've seen different places). It's at least as important that BeNeering has a great product that you can proudly offer to potential customers. Isn't that exactly what it's all about when you're wondering if you can succeed in a #sales role? You will love introducing #procurement leaders to our #eprocurement solution for #SAP users. Exciting times of growth at #BeNeering. Come and be part of it!
We are growing. And looking for a sales colleague to join our team in Germany. From interviews with candidates I made a conclusion that today it is all about values: what is important for us, what is important for the candidate. This is the key match that has to happen. If values do not match - no hiring. I decided to do some inventive recruiting here: I will be doing posts about our values and also what we are expecting from a new colleague. Lets see how strong is social media in helping me find the value match for my team! #BeNeering #salesteam #salesposition #cloudsales #lookingforasalesperson

Our bread and butter. One hire, one country is the most common scenario where we support our customers when hiring remotely abroad. This week I have been helping a Nordic company to hire a Sales Director in Austria. They have a perfect candidate ready (in a country where they don't have an entity) and using G-P's employment infrastructure in Austria they can onboard the new team member within a week. Best thing since sliced bread 😂. #eor #remotehiring

How to hire top German SaaS Sales Execs 🇩🇪 : What doesn't work: - Hype - Being pushy - Relying on job adverts - No German legal entity - Overselling the opportunity - Little understanding of Germany - Talking about clients you won in US - Selling Enterprise Software to Germany from another country What works: - A great hiring process - Paying the correct salaries - Strong Data Privacy policies - Offering examples of DACH clients - Showing a firm business plan for Germany - Understanding that Germany is not the UK, or USA 🔥 Hiring in Germany is a unique experience. PS:- DM me "DACH" if you need support with German hiring.

It's been a long time since the last time. But I think it is a real added value to this platform! And that's also the point of having access to a lot of professionals 👇 2 of my friends are looking for a new challenge in Sales 💯 They're goal and business-oriented, KPIs aren't a problem, new business even less, and are very trustable! If you want to add senior profiles to your sales team, they're the ones to contact! The first one is perfectly trilingual (NL+FR+EN) and has +10 years of experience in digital service selling. She always had a great connection with her customers, she's a go-getter and isn't afraid of being challenged! She lives close to Aalst The second one is a born overachiever and I had a great time working on his side and learning from him! He's perfectly bilingual in NL and EN but you can have a conversation with him in French and Spanish during happy hour 😅 5+ years in solution selling and will for sure be a great asset to your company. To make it easy: if you want to sell, you need to hire him! He lives in the Antwerp area If you're interested, drop a message, I'll gladly refer it to them ✌ #recruitment #sales #recruiting

Software/SAAS Sales & GTM Recruitment Specialist | Building high performing Revenue teams across the Globe 🚀
Building up revenue functions can be tricky, especially within a Greenfield market. Depending on where you are in the world, different approaches will allow you to succeed in different landscapes. ⏱ For me the most exciting, challenging, yet successful and rewarding, has to be the DACH region. Hiring GOOD SAAS sales professionals can be super tough here and I put it down to what it requires and what companies look for. It requires a nuanced approach that considers cultural, linguistic, and business-specific factors so I thought I’d share some considerations when looking to hire across DACH. 💯 💭 Cultural Sensitivity: Germans value professionalism, precision, and thoroughness. It’s vital that your communication is clear, well-structured, and professional. Respect for punctuality and adherence to deadlines is highly appreciated. 💭 Local Language: While many business professionals in Germany are proficient in English, having the ability to communicate in German can be a significant advantage. It demonstrates respect for the local language and culture. 💭 Understanding Compliance and Data Protection: Germany has stringent data protection laws (like GDPR), and businesses take these regulations seriously. Ensure that your SaaS product complies with local data protection requirements, and be prepared to address questions related to data security. 💭 Building Trust through Relationships: Relationship-building is a crucial aspect of sales in the German market. Establishing trust and credibility often takes time, and personal connections can be influential. 💭 Emphasis on Quality: German businesses often prioritise quality over price. Highlight the quality and reliability of your SaaS solution, as well as the long-term benefits it brings, rather than focusing solely on cost. Yes okay, success will come from a combination of the above elements as well as others aspects such as thorough product demos, customer references, case studies as well as a structured sales process however the importance of each factor can really vary depending on the specific industry, target audience, and the nature of your SaaS offering. 🍕💭🤔 #saassales #industryinsights #salessuccess
