With around 27 million homes in the UK requiring some form of retrofit, there is a pressing need for creative strategies to enhance our initiatives. Today, I had the opportunity to attend an insightful conference dedicated to this topic. Rachael Owens, Co-Director of the National Retrofit Hub, provided essential perspectives on the strategy and implementation of large-scale retrofitting. Her knowledge and commitment to a sustainable future are genuinely motivating. James Traynor from ECD Architects Ltd presented their remarkable large-scale retrofit projects, emphasizing the significant influence that careful design and execution can have on our built environment. It is clear that collaboration, innovation, and resolve are crucial in tackling this significant challenge. I am eager to see how these models will influence the future of retrofitting in the UK! #Retrofit #Sustainability #Innovation #Housing #UKHousing #GreenBuilding #FutureProof. #NetZero2050 #pas2030 AECB - Association for Environment Conscious Building
