Get creative with area rugs Just choose a rug that covers the majority of the center of the floor and use potted plants or other accessories to hide what the rug doesn’t cover. 2. Make a DIY floor cloth You can make a floor cloth to hide unattractive flooring using some craft store canvas, some home interior paint, and some painter’s tape. 3. Buy snap-together carpet squares Snap-together carpet squares that come in a variety of sizes, and they can be trimmed to fit anywhere. 4. Make use of carpet samples and scraps Be sure to measure the area you wish to cover, and then begin laying out all the pieces in an appealing design.
