Ananya has worked at the intersection of finance and industrial technology throughout her career. Her experiences include investment banking, digital industrial growth equity, and private market asset management. At Adams Street, she focused on investments into VC and PE funds across a broad range of strategies. Ananya holds a BA in Economics and Psychology from The University of Chicago. Raised in California, she is a native Hindi speaker and a first generation American.

Incredible energy at the #SmallData conference this week! A few takeaways that stood out from the talks and conversations: - Why Now: Significant improvements in hardware over the last decade enabled developers to process larger queries locally. As a result, the definition of 'big data' continues to shift and companies see efficiency and security benefits as a result of the local-first movement, with companies like MotherDuck and Ollama leading the way. - New Trends: LangChain highlighted workflow improvements for agent runtimes as a result of moving from DAG (Directed Acyclic Graphs) to DCG (Directed Cyclical Graphs) through their LangGraph platform, while Turso noted faster developer velocity due to the multitenant architecture they can enable for OLTP applications. - Opportunities for Innovation: While there are a range of tools available for transforming structured data sets, extensive domain knowledge is required to parse and transform the 80% of data that remains unstructured today. I am particularly excited about vertical-specific applications that offer automated capabilities to distill and analyze these data sets (such as streaming data from robots or transaction data sent via email). Exciting times ahead for the data space!
