Schindler Elevator Corporation (U.S.)’s Post

That's a wrap on this year's National Safety Month‼️ As we close out the month, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the past 4 weeks of safety topics: safety engagement; roadway safety; risk reduction; and slips, trips, and falls. Christina Woodling, Schindler Elevator Corporation's Senior Manager, Programs, Training & Analytics, reminds us how safety impacts all of us at any time, "Accidents or unintentional injuries are the third leading cause of death after heart attacks and cancer. This month, we discussed safe driving, looking out for trip and fall hazards, and how state of mind and emotions can also trip us up. Be aware of when you, a friend, family, or coworker are feeling rushed or distracted! Taking a moment to pause and look for what could go wrong can help us avoid bad outcomes." Thanks for joining us on this important annual journey. We've rounded up the month's safety tips below! #nationalsafetymonth #nationalsafetymonth2024 #safetymonth #safetymonth #safetyfirst #schindler #schindlerelevator #schindlerelevatorcorporation #weelevate

We attempt to embody this line of thinking every day. Not pressing technicians to meet impossible deadlines is one way we can keep our work family safe. This rushing extends into our personal lives. When you leave the jobsite for the day, go through the same "am I ready" checklist. Is my path clear? Am I mentally focused on driving, or do I need to take a quick break before heading home. Maybe grab a snack, some water( it is summer) and take a second to just decompress. It is a very useful technique to get you home to your loved ones.
