| Managing Member at Wanta Thome | Helping professionals recover from workplace injustices | Empowerment | Employment Law | Equity | Leadership |
We started Wanta Thome PLC last year with a clear mission and values. But above all, a pillar that acted as the foundation: Providing a stellar client experience. Clients come to us after they believe they’ve experienced injustice or mistreatment int he workplace, often leaving them feeling devalued or uncertain about their path forward. So, we put client experience at the forefront of everything we do. When our clients interact with us, they are immediately embraced by a. team of advocated who genuinely care about their well-being and are committed to championing their cause. One of my favorite sayings is that “clients are our best teachers.” Since we started Wanta Thome last year, we’ve implemented a regular client feedback cycle and received hundreds of responses — and we act on each one. When a client responds to a feedback form, leaves a review, or sends a note, we instantly share their feedback with the entire firm. Did we receive a positive one? Let’s double down on what’s working. If there’s a slight hint of concern, we make improvements. We go beyond the standard expectations of a law firm and provide exceptional service to our clients. A positive client experience builds trust and credibility from the start and amplifies our firm’s message.

Inspired, energized, focused, and determined — these are just a few of the words that describe how we’re feeling following Diversity Lab's Advisory Council inaugural meeting last week. We have long recognized the power of the collective in fostering more inclusive and equitable talent practices and organizations so everyone can thrive and advance. At a time when DEI efforts are under intense scrutiny, we appreciate our Advisory Council’s willingness to lend their precious time and tremendous talents to help us continue the momentum of law firms and companies. A strong theme emerging from our discussions was the opportunity for greater collaboration and alignment on DEI between law firms and legal departments. More details to come soon — including two new pilots that do exactly that! Again, thank you to our Advisory Council for helping us advance this important work. If a firm loses a partner to another firm, it's not always bad news. We shouldn't always assume that the firm is unhappy to see them go. For those left behind, this creates an opportunity - to do things a little differently, shake up a practice, hire a lateral who can bring a fresh perspective and enthusiasm, or to promote from within. We are working with a number of firms that are dealing with change and are seizing the opportunity by looking at lateral hires as their solution. As a partner coming into this kind of environment it's exciting to know that the firm is both embracing change as something good and you as one of the agents of it. If you are a partner considering a lateral move, here are the people in Marsden's global partner team to reach out to: 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗮: Jonathan Walmsley, Daniel Hogan, Ben Smith 𝗨𝗦𝗔: David Nicol, Bridget McCarthy, Nick Welsh 𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻: Anita Taylor, Tim Andrews, Michelle Mills, Alex Russell 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲: Nick Paleocrassas, Steve Salem, Máiréad Cremins 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁: Sonia Patel, Aaron Faith 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹: Jonathan Marsden #partners #lateralhires #lawfirms #legalrecruitment #marsden

Embarking on the journey to pursue one's dreams requires a steadfast commitment. Last time I checked, it all boiled down to hard work. To me, hard work means giving maximum effort as per my capabilities, wherever I am. When we follow our heart, it brings us closer towards the path of our respective dreams. : : : : #whoweworkwithmatters #journeyispersonal"

Ambition remains high for Taylor Wessing! Taylor Wessing has just announced impressive financial growth for 2023-24, marking a 9.5% increase in global revenue to £480.7m. This growth rate is almost double that of the previous year, and the UK market has seen a substantial rise with an 8.6% increase, bringing in £246.6m. Most notably, the firm's UK profit has soared by 12.2%, reaching £91.7m. The firm's managing partner, Shane Gleghorn, highlighted the expansion across Europe, most prominently in Germany and France. This momentum has been further fuelled by significant mandates representing notable companies like Abbott and Pfizer in IP litigation. It's worth mentioning that Taylor Wessing has managed to achieve this success while also making strategic hires, including 26 new lateral partners globally. Looking forward, the firm has set its sights on an ambitious €1bn revenue target by 2028-29. With a solid growth strategy that combines both organic and inorganic expansion, including potential growth in Iberia, Italy, and Benelux, Taylor Wessing is geared up for sustained success.
