🌍What would make the world truly sustainable? Moving from a “never enough” to “enough for each” economy, says Gaya Herrington, Vice President of Sustainability Research at the Schneider Electric Sustainability Research Institute and The Club of Rome member, as she shared insights on TED Countdown stage at Bloomberg Green Festival in Seattle. As humanity is bumping into planetary boundaries, it seems that business as usual is no way forward. This is not an anti-growth stand, but a call to differentiate between what should or should not grow, depending on whether it contributes to human and ecological wellbeing. 🤝At Schneider Electric, as an impact company, we want to do well to do good and vice versa. Centered around a goal to create genuine value for society, our economic system can effectively support caring for the environment and fostering wellbeing. A critical way forward in this direction lies in our approach of the energy transition, advancing three interrelated impacts: funding sustainable innovation, extending access to affordable and clean energy, and developing educational and upskilling programs. The goal is to unlock access to the future, for all. 👉 Read this blog by our CEO Peter Herweck on why and how we can do it, together: http://spr.ly/6049iuu69

Powerful insight! Shifting to an “enough for each” economy is key for true sustainability. Balancing growth with wellbeing is essential for our future.

Gaya Herrington's insights from the TED Countdown stage resonate deeply with the urgent need for sustainable practices in today's world.
