Teacher in making Political Science | Public Policy | Research | Education | CTET Qualified Paper II
As Mahatma Gandhi said on August 14, 1945 , “…we shall be delivered from the bondage of the British rule. But from midnight today, India will be partitioned too. While, therefore, tomorrow will be a day of rejoicing, it will be a day of sorrow as well." In simulated teaching session I opted for the topic Partition: displacement and rehabilitation from Chapter1: Challenges of Nation Building of Class XII (Political Science). To illustrate the concept, I used the following teaching aid. The division of hearts in the name of partition was put forth before the students with sensitivity. The creation of East and West Pakistan was illustrated beautifully. #teachingaid #learning #learningbydoing #experientiallearning #independence #partition #divisionofhearts #displacement #rehabilitation

Experienced Trial and Investigations Counsel @ Woods Rogers | Federal Investigations, White Collar Defense, and Whistleblower Specialist
Professor Hopkins was a true academic and a great mentor. While I ended up in the legal field, my first real exposure to the logic of law came directly from Jeffrey and his former students (like the late Daniel Perdue) who taught the world about the art and ceremony of debate in Tibetan religious education. While it may look and sound different than how we interact with law and logic in the Western world, the practice and principles of Tibetan debate evince that we really are more similar than we are different. https://lnkd.in/dqwxP2Mj

Faculty Publication in Focus | Liberalism and its Encounters in India: Some Interdisciplinary Approaches. This anthology of essays is co-edited by Dr. Atreyee Majumder, Associate Professor of Law, NLSIU, and R. Krishnaswamy, Associate Professor and Co-Director for the Centre for Social and Political Research. The essays in the volume trace liberalism’s journey through modern Indian history to give us a new standpoint to understand current debates and also point to some internal contradictions of Indian liberalism. The volume will be of importance to scholars and researchers of political science, especially political theory, and South Asian studies. This is a content analysis conducted by Dr. Bill Warner who founded the Center for the Study of Political Islam. He applies a scientific approach to quantify the contents of any book including in this case the holy books of Islam. As you can see (and as I explained yesterday), in the Meccan period, there is a lot less Jew-hatred. However, it becomes orgiastic Jew-hatred in the Medinan period, which abrogates the earlier verses. If you wish to engage these results, do so as an academic exercise. Don't insult. Don't threaten. Don't demean. If your ideas are superior ones, you should be able to win the arguments on their merit. No need to threaten. Cheers.

Expressing a desire for the extermination of Israelis is abhorrent and unacceptable, with no justification under the umbrella of free speech. However, when considering calls for Khalistan(carved out of India), threats of breaking up India into pieces, hijacking an Indian plane, or attacking the Indian parliament, the question arises: Should these be categorized as "free speech" in the Western world? #freespeech #freedom #freedomisnotfree #speech
Congresswoman Elise Stefanik pushes Harvard University President Gay to answer simple moral questions. Forget the SAT, ACT, GMAT, LSAT etc. If students believe that genocide is acceptable, they should have no place at any university, let alone at what was once one of the most respected institutions of higher learning in the world. When the ancient Chinese decided to live in peace, they made the great wall of China, They thought no one can climb it due to its height. During the first 100 year of its existence, the Chinese were invaded thrice. ... And everytime, the hordes of enemy infantry had no need of penetrating or climbing over the wall...because each time they bribed the guards and came through the doors. The Chinese built the wall but forgot the character-building of the wall-guards Thus the building of human character comes BEFORE building of anything else..... Thats what our Students need today. Like one of the Orientalists said: If you want to destroy the civilization of a nation there are 3 ways: 1. Destroy family structure 2.Destroy education 3. Lower their role models and references 1. In order to destroy the family; undermine the role of Mother, so that she feels ashamed of being a housewife. 2. To destroy education: you should give no importance to Teacher, and lower his place in society so as that the students despise him 3.To lower the role models: you should undermine the Scholars, doubt them untill no one listens to them or follows them. For when a conscious mother disappears, a dedicated teacher disappears and there's a downfall of role models, WHO will teach the youngsters VALUES?... Have a thought! Is your home also invaded? #iSabiWhoiBe #GodNeverBlinks #PJayMax

Dr. Sinha has been such a life-changing educator for me. Her support, brilliance, and gentle approach to teaching has been transformative in so many of our lives. I cannot wait to read your new book!
The Bengal famine of 1943 killed about 3 million people in the wake of World War II. British imperials at the time blamed Indian officials’ incompetence for it, but a new book by Kalamazoo College Professor of English Babli Sinha is spotlighting the atrocities that truly were at fault. Hear from Sinha regarding her new book, “The Bengal Famine and Cultural Production: Signifying Colonial Trauma.”

In Israel, the word 'dugri' is known to Jews and Arabs alike and means talking straight. Now, two Tel Aviv University (TAU) professors — one Arab, the other Jewish — have come together to offer a course called Dugri to help students grapple with the hard truths and trauma related to the Israeli-Palestinian crisis today. There are approximately 20 students in the class — half Arab and half Jewish — and they come from diverse academic disciplines and from around the region, including the Gaza area.
