Morning Whispers From God's Throne Daily Devotional January 17 "The more I read, the more I acquire, the more certain I am that I know nothing." Voltaire Topic: Desire Wisdom Song: "Give Me Faith" by Elevation Worship Scripture: "The second step to getting wisdom is to desire it with all our heart. As Solomon says, we must look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure." Proverbs 2:4 Lesson and Reflections: Today, we focus on the essential step of desiring wisdom with all our heart. Proverbs 2:4 encourages us to pursue wisdom as we would search for precious treasures. This kind of fervent desire is the key to unlocking the riches of divine insight. Prayer Point: In your prayer today, express your sincere desire for wisdom. Ask God to ignite a passion in your heart to seek wisdom as diligently as one searches for hidden treasure. Action: Take a moment to reflect on your level of desire for wisdom. Are you actively seeking it with all your heart? Consider one area in your life where you can intensify your pursuit of wisdom. Mark 10:25 "It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” This verse was taught by Jesus, and it's means to convey that it is very difficult for a wealthy person to enter the kingdom of God. The "eye of a needle" was a narrow gate in Jerusalem that a camel could only pass through if it was unladen and on its knees, making it a difficult and humbling process. Similarly, a rich person would need to be willing to let go of their wealth and pride in order to enter the kingdom of God. In this context, Jesus is emphasizing the importance of humility and detachment from material possessions in order to follow Him and enter the kingdom of God. We should ask ourselves: What are the "riches" in my life that might be holding me back from fully following God? Am I relying too heavily on my own wealth or resources instead of trusting in God's provision? How can I use my resources to serve others and further God's kingdom rather than letting them become a barrier to my spiritual growth? Remember, this passage is not just about material wealth, but also about the attitudes of self-sufficiency and pride that can come with it. #Created_To_Worship_Ministries_SA

I see many people condemning people? All because some have and some don't... referencing wealth! AND ALL OVER SOCIAL MEDIA (a name & shame mentality) Very few seem to see it the as God intended it... but they quick to wage war over it! Why don't we go for the Word.. the Living Word of God and see what God says about it? According to the Word of God it says... seek first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you... now remember the things shouldn't be your motivation but the Kingdom first. We must view it in context of what Jesus was saying... He doesn't have a problem with earthly wealth... and many were rich in the Bible. What they did with it mattered and like I said Jesus didn't have an issue with riches, abundance, laughter and social acceptance (ref Luke 6:24-26 to name one example) The problem He has is that preference is given to the flesh... those earthly things instead of giving preference to the things of the Kingdom... this is what He proclaimed WOE to! Don't curse people but yes address the sin and those that HAVE should consider their biblical responsibility to the poor, the needy, the widow and the elderly Seek He first the Kingdom also involves having a Kingdom perspective and using Kingdom discernment So be careful to jump on the bandwagon first... did you check with Holy Spirit first? #Kingdom1stUnderstanding #RicardoMesias

*LIVE WISELY BY OBEYING GOD* "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his commands have good understanding. His praise continues forever." (Ps.111:10) A man may study and know all philosophy, religion, intellect, or may have vast learning and acquire great skills, but if he does not have the fear of God he does not have real wisdom. He may think he is wise and others may think he is wise, but if he does not have the fear of God he does not have wisdom at all. Thus, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The second segment of our text equally points out that true wisdom is not merely in fearing and knowing God's Word; but it's in doing God's will. One way to show reverence to God is to obey Him. Sincerely speaking, to obey the Lord is the fundamental principle for wise living. A man who will not set himself to obey God as revealed in the Bible is far from being wise, because the heart of living wisely is obeying God. In fact, we will never reach our full potential in this life apart from obeying our God. Wisdom is not just about what you know. It is what you do with what you know that matters on day of judgment: "Blessed are those who do according to his commands, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city." (Rev. 22:14). Think over this today! *PRAYER: Lord Jesus, help me to obey YOU as much as I know YOUR WORD.*

WONDERS IN HIS WORD The Word of God is Full of Divine Instructions. The Word of God is not merely a collection of stories or teachings, it is full of divine instructions for life, inspired by the Holy Spirit. However, these instructions are not always immediately apparent to our natural understanding. Why? Because they are spiritually discerned, hidden in the depths of the Word. As we read the Scriptures, we might engage with them physically reading with our eyes but miss the profound truths hidden within. This happens because the Word of God is spiritually coded. It takes the Holy Spirit, who inspired the Word, to unlock its meaning and reveal the wonders of these instructions to us. This is why it is so essential for the Eyes of our Understanding to be opened. Without spiritual insight, the richness of God’s Word remains concealed, like a treasure hidden in plain sight. As the Psalmist prayed, so must we: “Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.” (Psalm 119:18, NKJV). It’s through the illumination of the Holy Spirit that we begin to grasp the deep truths and the life-transforming power of God’s Word. Let’s remain prayerful, asking God to open our spiritual eyes daily, so we may not only read His Word but truly see and live by it. #PSD #PSDEXPERIENCE #WordOfGod #SpiritualInsight #DivineInstructions #EyesOfUnderstanding #ChristianLiving #FaithJourney #SpiritualGrowth #WisdomFromAbove #BibleStudy #FaithAndWisdom

1wWisdom is seeing the world from God's perspective and then applying that perspective to our lives. Proverbs 3:19 says, "The Lord by wisdom founded the earth, established the heavens by understanding." When we seek wisdom, we seek to know God's mind and act according to His unchanging truth.
