Summer is fast approaching, and for many students experiencing #homelessness, these are the months they are most vulnerable to go without the supports they receive when schools are in session. American Rescue Plan-Homeless Children and Youth funds can help school districts maintain connections with families, add capacity to liaisons to provide summer supports, and help ensure students are ready to return to school in the fall.💡 Download our Two-Pager on the benefits and considerations when providing summer activities with ARP-HCY funds. ➡️ https://bit.ly/3wUKq23

Tomorrow is 4/24/24, and Freedom 4/24 aims to raise $4,240 to prevent child exploitation. Research shows that traffickers are grooming elementary-aged students, but education can save lives. Freedom 4/24's Human Trafficking Prevention Curriculum for grades 5-12 is piloting in schools, but they need funding to continue offering it to schools across Virginia and the US at no cost. Their goal is to remove all barriers to education, ensuring every child receives life-saving education. It costs approximately $24 to educate one student. Join us in supporting this cause by donating to help them reach their goal. Every dollar counts, and your contribution can make a difference in the life of a child. #endhumantrafficking Donate now: https://lnkd.in/e3fMq_Yu

🚫 Protect Sarasota Children's Future: Reject Project 2025's Radical Education Policies! 🚫 Project 2025's radical education policies threaten our children's future! Their plan to dismantle the Department of Education, slash $18 billion in funding for low-income students, and eliminate crucial programs like free school meals and Head Start is cruel and unacceptable. We cannot let #MAGA radicals like - Richard Corcoran, - Bridget Ziegler - Karen Rose - Greg Wood, and - Thomas Andrew Babicz continue to harm Sarasota County Schools and New College of Florida students. These actions would strip our schools of vital resources, undermine #civilrights, and treat education as a privilege rather than a right. Let's unite to safeguard our education system's integrity and ensure every #child receives the quality education they deserve. 📜 Project 2025's Proposals: ❌ Dismantling the Department of Education ❌ Cutting $18 billion in funding for low-income students ❌ Eliminating free school meals and Head Start Save our schools! Elect Liz Barker and Tom Edwards to the School Board. 💪 Donate today to support our cause! 💰 #ProtectOurSchools #EducationForAll #SayNoToProject2025

As of August 1st, around 43% of ARP-HCY funding remains unused. With the September 30th spending deadline fast approaching, “There is real urgency to maximize the use of these funds for children who have very significant needs,” shared SchoolHouse Connection Executive Director Barbara Duffield with Education Week. “We know that the numbers [of homeless students] are going to show an increase. Homelessness is actually higher now than it was before the pandemic.” 🚨 Use our ARP-HCY Quick Spending and Cost Guide to help maximize impact of these one-time funds! 👉 https://bit.ly/3V5WZQq 🔗 EdWeek article: https://bit.ly/3AqFALG

Share the 💗 today and partner with us to find life-changing solutions for refugees, like education: $20 supports a child for one term of Elementary School Education $20 supports a child for one term of Middle School Education $30 supports children aged 3 to 5 for one term of Early Childhood Education For Latifa (pictured), school is about so much more than learning. “Being at school the whole day, I don’t have to worry about everything at home. There are some times when we don’t have enough food to cook. When I am at school, I don’t have to worry about food, about family, or anything like that. All I have to worry about is my studies.” At school, refugee children are able to rebuild critical support systems (teachers, mentors, coaches) that they may have lost. School also allows children to integrate into their new communities by learning new languages and developing new friendships. Donate today ➡️ https://buff.ly/42CslS1
